Scuba-diving in Pulau Perhentian Kecil

I will stay in Bubu Long Beach in Perhentian Kecil (small island) for 5 days, 4 nights. I and my partner are PADI certified and want to do some scuba-diving and looking for recommendations.

Bubu Long Beach seems to provide scuba-diving also. Anybody dived with them? Any opinions?

Perhentian Kecil Accomodation

I have flights booked for a 1 week stay at Perhentian Kecil, 18 - 25 June. Will I need to pre book accomodation at this time of year? Wanting to stay in budget room on Long Beach.
Any recommendations for 1 night stay in Kota Bahru as will be arriving there from KL in the evening.
Any help welcomed.

hi there..

all the budget accomodation at long beach do not accept advance booking..they all operate on a walk-in basis..especially during the busy season..if ur r looking for just one room, u might b able to get one..try to arrive early in the moring..the first boat from besut jetty is around 7.30am..

if u want to play safe, there r two places that accept bookings at long beach..one is lily chalets..the room rates are rm200/nite (for 4 people) and rm160/nite (for 2 people)..

the other one will be bubu long beach resort..this is sort of a hotel with concrete buildings, hot shower, aircond, tv etc..a bit pricey..i think the room is between 200 - 350 per nite..m not sure..never stayed there.. :o)
