The Famous Floating Mosque (Masjid Tengku Tengah Z
by imran8852
I guess many people will not miss visiting the floating mosque even when there is the Crystal Mosque now because it’s much easier to find. It’s near the roadside along Jalan Sultan Mahmud and said to be about 4km from Terengganu Town Center. The Beaches!
Pulau Kapas
by imran8852
Most people come all the way just to visit this beautiful island. So why not do so when you were already in Terengganu? You won’t be disappointed! You can book the chalet & the boat at the office nearby the jetty at Marang. The fare for the boat is around RM40/- (To & fro)
Pulau Duyung
by Cielo_Algaeed
Pulau Duyung is located about 20 minutes drive from the hotel were we stayed (Seri Malaysia). Here you can see the locals making huge wooden boats.
As per the workers, they do not use nails to put the wood pieces together but rather they also use woods so the boat won't rust.
One boat costs millions of dollars and so most of the boats that t hey make are either owned by rich businessmen from different countries.
Floating Mosque
by muddybok
The Masjid Tengku Tengah Zaharah was built in such a way that it gives an illusion that it is floating on water. The mosque is painted in pristine white, plain and simple. It is located almost 6km from state capital, next to Kuala Ibai.
I am not too sure whether it is lighted at night. I was once curious and wanting to visit by night, but my laziness overcomes me.
The State Where Nature Embraces Heritage

"Beautiful Kuala Terengganu"
I've been to Kuala Terengganu - KT a few times before. Every visit here is so special. None of the visit were the same. Each visit has it owns uniqueness n there seemed to be more things to see. It's truly a beautiful place with lots of heritage. The people are friendly...views are great...everything here is just so beautiful.
"A little bit about KT"
Terengganu is located along the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. To the north lies the Kelantan state, and to the south, Pahang. Terengganu covers around 12,995 square kilometers and comprises seven districts: Besut, Setiu, Kuala Terengganu, Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Dungun, and Kemaman.
If you're driving or taking a bus to get to Kuala Terengganu you'll pass along the beach...really nice.
Terengganu is actually very famous for it's many great islands...Perhentian Island, Redang Island, Kapas Island, Lang Tengah Island, Tenggol Island n etc. Beaches in Terengganu are also beautiful. Those who have never been to islands in Terengganu...really should try going.
"Where nature embraces heritage"
One thing hard not to notice are unique architecture on buildings all over KT...from the market, mosques, offices to the airport, you'll see beautiful carvings on the wall...ceiling...beams n etc.
I really like KT's Airport. It's beautiful...n so unique. I would say this is the most unique airport in Malaysia.
You'll also found trishaws around the city. Most of them running this business are old men...really old men. It's nice just to seat back n enjoy the ride on trishaws. I've been on the trishaws once only...can't really enjoy the ride looking at the struggling old man.
