Terengganu Holiday Plans and any wise words appreciated
My fella and I are headed to Malaysia for our spring break holiday from March 25th to early April, and although we have no experience diving, we are aiming to do the PADI Open Water Certification. I am looking for advice for :
1-Where to go....we are more interested in the east coast of pennisular Malaysia (Koh Lang Tengah, Redang, Perhentian Isles)
2-a good package deal or recommended mid- range accomodations and/or instructors or diving outfits in the area.
Thank you in advance, the info posted has already been very helpful to us and we appreciate any input whatsoever.

hi there
of the three islands you mentioned i have dived at two (Redang and Perhentian), the better being Redang. it is a little pricier than Perhentian but more consistent in terms of underwater visibility from wht i saw and have heard from other divers who have been there...cant quite remember the exact accurate name of the dive center i dived with (who also do trips to Pulau Lang Tengah) so please bear with me and give me a day to find out the exact name, i would definitely recommend the center and instructor to u :)

got it!!
okay the dive center i would recommend is this : REDANG BAY DIVE CENTRE on Pasir Panjang, the instructor's name is TAE PENG. I didnt stay at their adjoining resort so i can't recommend it, but it is perfectly okay to stay somewhere else (but not too far away as it would b a hassle to have to take the boat everyday to the dive centre). Do book early as Redang is v. v. popular with divers, snorkelers and travellers.
