    Another chalet that's recommended at Long Beach. Just like Matahari, it's a basic wooden chalet with attached bathroom.

    Each room comes with a queen size bed, mosquito net, a small cupboard, a dressing table and a wall fan.

    Despite the basic amenities, the rooms are clean and well-kept.

    Rate is at RM70 per night which includes dinner at the Panorama Restaurant.

    Electricity is available from 7 pm to 7 am.

    Note : This chalet also operates on a walk-in basis. You can't make reservations.

    The chalets are built among the trees that grows by the beach which gives a nice, cool and shady feel to it.

    The restaurant is one of the best at Long Beach with a nice cozy and tropical settings.

    Basic wooden chalet which is suitable for backpackers. It comes with a bed, a small cupboard, a dressing table, a wall fan and the mosquito net.

    All the rooms include an attached bathroom which is clean and well-maintained except for the RM45 per night room.

    The RM45 per night rooms only have a common bathroom which is also clean and well maintained.

    I was very satisfied with the room despite the basic amenities since I spent most of my time on the beach anyway.

    The rates are pretty resonable between RM45 - RM85 per night which includes a RM10 dinner voucher!!

    Please take note that the electricity is only available from 6pm til 7am everyday.

    Note : Please be warned that it operates on a walk-in basis. You can't make reservations.

    For a basic chalet, the place is well-maintained and pretty clean. The surrounding is well-kept and decorated with tropical plants.

    Nice and cozy restaurant with a vast selection of delicious local cuisine!! Definitely the best place to eat at long beach!!

    • I intended to stay at this chalet as it seems to be a pleasant and affordable place. However, as they do not take reservations and it was peak season, I couldn't get a place there.

    I read that it is pleasant, at least cleaner than Rock Garden and it is along the beach. I saw that place and it looked good to me.

    Expect to pay RM55 - RM80 for a room (sleeps two).

    We actually went up and down Long Beach, Perhentian Kecil looking for a nice place to stay ... so when I say that Mohsin is one of the best value for money accomodation, I really do know what I am talking about.
    At Mohsin Chalet, I stayed at the Dorm for only RM20 a night. The dorm is spacious and clean. There are 10 double deacker beds, 4 toilets and 4 shower. They provide clean bed sheets at no extra cost.
    Of course ... staying at a dorm is not everyone's cup of tea. No worries ... they also have nice rooms for RM80.

    Mohsin Chalet is located on a hill, so u get really lovely view of the beach, especially from the Cafe.

    My dive buddy and I did not book any accommodation before we left for Perhentian Kecil. We thought it would be easy to find accommodation easily.

    To our surprise, when we reached there, almost all the decent places which we marked were all running full-house. Well, I managed to notice the Rock Garden Chalet which is up on a small hill. Bingo! We got a chalet there. Phew!

    Pros:
    - Extremely cheap at RM20 per chalet.
    - Can sleep 2 in the chalet.
    - 2 single beds
    - View from the top.
    - Friendly caretakers / owners.

    Cons:
    - Toilets and bathrooms are far away.
    - The place is not exactly clean.
    - No electrical sockets in the chalet.
    - Geekos calling at night.
    - Path leading to chalet not well-paved. Need to climb a bit.
    - Moist sheets.

    P.S.: Recommended for backpackers who are really tight on their budget. Not recommended for family travel.

    Quite a low frills place. But we still have our own attached bathroom. However, water on the island is restricted to certain times during the day. The water from the tap is salty tap water.

    The beach is full of dead corals, therefore it is almost impossible to wade bare footed into the sea.

    Only some of the staff can understand English, therefore there might be some communication problems.

    Approximately 35 sea view & side sea view rooms. Each room comes with a balcony, big twin beds, air conditioning, fan and water heater.

    This resort can be categorise as 3 star rating.
    This resort comes with a restaurant, bar, massage centre and a house reef ( snokle area).

    I took a package deal on triple sharing for 3 days 2 nights which includes 3 snorkelling, 2 breakfast, 2 lunch, 2 tea break and 2 dinner. The cost was only RM428.00 at a travel fair in mid valley. The room is pleasant with 2 queen size beds and a balcony to hang our clothes, towels etc on the railing. The only thing I don't like about the hotel is the lack of pipe water so we tend to track sand all over our room and on to our beds too. The plus point is we can wash our sandals at the bathroom before going to where the bed is. You still get san there as the sand in long beach is quite fine. There is no TV, refrigerator and cupboard in the room. You can charge you handphone on the only power point in the room.

    staff are so-so.. food is good though.. there was a bon fire show after BBQ dinner... they have internet service (RM 15 per hour), 24 hours electricity, warm shower yes, shampoo lotion and body gel yes, towels yes, tissue yes, no TV, no refrigerator, no hair drier..

    apparently i was welcomed by a small monitor comodo just few steps away from my room which is on the first floor.. imagine my key tends to get stuck at that time.. trying to get into my room..

    I paid RM1337 for flights, land and sea transportation, accommodation, meals and snorkeling trip excluding snorkeling mask, fin and life jacket (RM10 for renting each item )

    Clean room & Massage service.. Bon fire show after dinner.. private beach chairs..
