Superb! Cheap & Good. I got an air-con seaview chalet with attached bath & toilet, on the beach front, at RM100 per night. This price already include 4 meals, 2 sessions of 4-hour snorkelling trips with coach, returned boat transfer between Merang jetty. The owner and staff there are super friendly, and "A" for them!!! A 3 days, 2 nights, full-board package will cost around RM400.
Great views of the sea and the beach as it is situated on the high rocks. The beach behind the resort is worth checking out too. There is a small lagoon where you can swim and snorkelling is great there too. At night, you will find "blue sand" on the beach too.

This resort has average facilities. However, water from the bathroom have a rusty smell and its a bit brownish in colour when I was there.

This is a quiet place with a wide choice of sumptuous wooden chalets in delightful, landscaped gardens and an excellent private beach (eg. Deluxe Garden Chalet, Redang Hillview, Redang Seaview and etc).

Berjaya Redang Beach Resort boasts 273 tastefully furnished rooms and suites with ensuite bathrooms in typical Malaysian-style chalets. All rooms are comfortably furnished and fully equipped with modern amenities.
The Superior Room are double storey Malaysian styled timber framed long house with garden views. The Deluxe Chalets are also double storey Malaysian styled timber framed with total of 4 rooms in one chalet and the Sea facing category overlooks the beautiful panoramic ocean.

This was my second resort I stayed in Redang Island. I used to stay in Redang Holiday Beach Villa but decided to try out other resorts.
Since most of the resorts were fully booked and this was the one available during the Labour Day long weekend (28 April to 01 May 2007), we were thankful and we had a memorable holiday there.
This is a more casual resort-style affair that offers twin and quad-sharing chalets. It appeals more to the locals. There are two queen-sized bed with air-conditioning and attached hot shower room in our quad-sharing room. If you are hoping for satelite TV, bar fridge or bathtub, then you are in the wrong resort.
Redang Pelangi Resort provides the following facilities and services:
1) Return bus and air ticket booking.
2) Kuala Terengganu hotel booking.
3) Two souvenir shops.
4) Beach & group games -

. Sand-castle building
. Card / board games
. Canoeing
5) Disco, karaoke and CD Movies.
6) Dive shop and snorkeling centre.
I will recommend this resort if you are on a budget and will like to mingle with the locals.
Even though all the meals are simple but they are delicious, like local home-cooked food and never run out of food because they top-up whenever the dishes are running low and there are breads, biscuits and hot drinks available 24 hours.
The dive centre staffs are very friendly and helpful. Thumbs up for them! I took a Free-&-Easy package for 3 Days and 2 Nights, travelling by direct flight from Singapore, including 2 American breakfasts, 2 Buffet Dinners and 1 snorkelling session. Not including Marine Park Entry fee of MYR5 but including taxes and surcharges, I paid S$528.
Berjaya Redang Beach Resort has 152 (and expanding) Malaysian style wooden chalets/suites with ensuite bathrooms. Room facilities include individually controlled air-conditioning, IDD, colour TV that offers ONLY Malaysian free channels, one channel for in-house movies and CNN, coffee and tea making facilities and a minibar.
There are 5 types of rooms: Superior, Garden View, Hill View, Sea View and Suites. (I stayed at the Garden View)
TIP 1: The room is comfortable especially if you have one on the second floor where you get the luxury and the privacy of a balcony.
TIP 2: If you are having a Garden View Room, asking for 3903, 3904, 4003, 4004, 4103, 4104, 4203 & 4204. These rooms are enclosed around a scenic landscaped portion of the grounds with wooden bridges and a river running through.
The resort is currently expanding with more Hill View, Sea View and Suites being added. These new rooms are creeping up one of the headlands, with the new suites being furthest from the beach. However, once completed, from these locations, you will get a great unobstructed view of Teluk Dalam Bay, where the Resort is sited.
Service is fine. Everyone greets with a smile.
The resort owns the bay, sitting on fine white sand. Very soothing to touch.
The resort is sheltered from the elements by 2 headlands, nesting deep in the "crevice". The water is thus relatively calm, and aided by a gradual beach slope, is generally safe for young kids. (The resort going one step further by placing a safety line at about 2m deep from one end to the other) The only flaw: There aren't a lot of fishes here.
