Mozana Redang Resort: Affordable and Peaceful
Mozana Redang offers a very good deal for those who are travelling on a small budget. I was very happy with the package and I had great time during my 4-day stay there.
For a price of RM280 per person, you will get an air-conditioned room with attached bathroom, return ferry ride from/to Kuala Terengganu, 3 meals a day (one is a bbq dinner), light tea after the afternoon snorkeling trip, and 3 snorkeling trips (1 to the marine park, 2 to the neighbouring islands).
You will have to pay an additional RM20 for the snorkeling gear rental which you will get to keep throughout your stay.
What I like about this chalet is the fact that it is situated in a pretty secluded beach (Teluk Kalong). There are only two resorts located on this beach so you will get to enjoy some peace and quiet during your stay.
Although the beach in front of the chalet is filled with corals which is not that suitable for swimming (especially for children), the chalet is only 15-minute walk to Long Beach. So, you can always go for a walk to Long Beach in the morning while enjoying the nature, spend a few hours there swimming and come back.
Thus, it is a pretty good choice for those who are looking for some privacy and wanting to relaxed.

Berjaya Redang Beach Resort: The most secluded resort of all
I've stayed at this resort twice. I simply loved the beach fronting the resort! Super-duper powdery soft sands and amazingly crystal-clear water. There are plenty of spaces to call your own here mainly because this is the only resort on the beautiful stretch of Teluk Dalam Beach.
The resort pricing is quite a premium, especially if you choose their Fly-and-Stay package which departs from KL's Subang Airport on Berjaya Air. Otherwise, boat trips from Shahbandar Jetty in Kuala Terengganu takes about slightly more than an hour.
The room internal was nothing to shout about. But the overall resort architecture depicts a traditional Malay village setting which is very commendable. There are plenty of beach chairs provided to enjoy the majestic ocean view.
The beach, the sands, architecture.

Laguna Redang Beach Resort: Architectural Wonder of Laguna Redang
This is a rather new resort in Redang, was completed back in 2002 if memory serves me right. I took up the chance to stay here in 2004. Simply love the local architecture employed in the resort design.
The room is well-appointed with timber strip floor and quite chic internal fittings. The pool is huge but honestly, you will be more amazed by the beach fronting the resort. Quite crowded in general because the resort is very popular among tourists.
Architecture, beach views, heaps of water-related activities.

Laguna Redang: Laguna Redang
With a magnificent shoreline studded with fine white sand, bathed by a clear blue sea and set against a background of green hills, Laguna Redang Island Resort is possibly the island's loveliest resort.
Adding to the wonder of it all is the low-rise resort that was designed as a modern interpretation of traditional Malay architecture to be in total harmony with its nature surroundings.

Berjaya Beach Resort: The most luxurious lodging on Pulau Redang
I took a Free-&-Easy package for 3 Days and 2 Nights, travelling by direct flight from Singapore, including 2 American breakfasts, 2 Buffet Dinners and 1 snorkelling session. Not including Marine Park Entry fee of MYR5 but including taxes and surcharges, I paid S$528.
Berjaya Redang Beach Resort has 152 (and expanding) Malaysian style wooden chalets/suites with ensuite bathrooms. Room facilities include individually controlled air-conditioning, IDD, colour TV that offers ONLY Malaysian free channels, one channel for in-house movies and CNN, coffee and tea making facilities and a minibar.
There are 5 types of rooms: Superior, Garden View, Hill View, Sea View and Suites. (I stayed at the Garden View)
TIP 1: The room is comfortable especially if you have one on the second floor where you get the luxury and the privacy of a balcony.
TIP 2: If you are having a Garden View Room, asking for 3903, 3904, 4003, 4004, 4103, 4104, 4203 & 4204. These rooms are enclosed around a scenic landscaped portion of the grounds with wooden bridges and a river running through.
The resort is currently expanding with more Hill View, Sea View and Suites being added. These new rooms are creeping up one of the headlands, with the new suites being furthest from the beach. However, once completed, from these locations, you will get a great unobstructed view of Teluk Dalam Bay, where the Resort is sited.
Service is fine. Everyone greets with a smile.
The resort owns the bay, sitting on fine white sand. Very soothing to touch.
The resort is sheltered from the elements by 2 headlands, nesting deep in the "crevice". The water is thus relatively calm, and aided by a gradual beach slope, is generally safe for young kids. (The resort going one step further by placing a safety line at about 2m deep from one end to the other) The only flaw: There aren't a lot of fishes here.

Redang Beach Resort: Great place - Redang Beach Resort
They have an office on the mainland so you can rest before taking the boat to redang island. Likewise for return trips, esp when bus home only leaves late at night. Can shower, rest and leave your stuff there and jalan around the town.
Nice friendly resort. Nice room. Great dive centre staff. friendly , knowledgable, even with big groups. Made sure everyone was comfortable. felt pretty safe with them. Got dragged into some beach cleaning up activities and conservation talks. Was intially reluctant (lazy!?!) but impressed they made the effort in the end.
Buffet food was not bad but the drinking water tasted wierd. Queues were pretty long sometimes so we ended up adventuring to other resorts for meals , which gave us some variety and difference in atmosphere.
Our room faced the night disco so it was pretty noisy at night. not good if u sleep early or cherish peace n quiet.
Another plus point - ramly burger seller at edge at resort. Yum...
Overall - great place to stay, thumbs up!

Redang Campsite & Chalet: Backpackers Lodging in Pulau Redang
This paradise island is perfect for snorkeling, swimming, scuba diving, jungle trekking, boating and canoeing. It takes about 1 hour 25 minutes by ferry from the Kuala Terengganu city. Visitors have to abide by the Fisheries Act 1985 as Redang Island is one of the few marine parks in Malaysia. No fishing is allowed within a 3.2 km radius of the island as Pulau Redang is gazette as a marine park. The collection of corals and other aquatic life is also prohibited.
Redang campsite & Chalet offer FRIENDLY STAFF, BACK TO NATURE CONCEPT, and CULTURE here. get ready to bring some BATIK & SARONG for nite time.
they emphasized on Culture and marine Life by concerning about environment and nature,
They have 2 places for having meals which is Restaurant Pak Harun and Gilligan's cafe.
Local food and western food is provided here, so do vege.
Located at Private baech which offer you peaceful vacation , privacy and tranquility for your holiday.
Even you can find 'Finding Nemo' which is in front of your chalet,( House Coral reef).
the white sand beach is superb,(not just my word but it is PROVEN there)
The most important thing, the BACK TO NATURE Concept and CULTURE that they absorb here will tell you what this place is all about...
Welcome here for vacation for better future!! - words by owner of RCS.

New resort beside Redang Holiday Beach Villa
This stretch of new resort is said to be owned by some very powerful man in Malaysia. The location is superb. They have a row of sea front chalet with very nice sea view. So far the only resort that has this kind of concept. I went to look at the showroom, the layout of the room is very tastefully decorated. If upon completion, there is a row of coconut trees and deck chair infront of he chalet will be perfect. I am looking forward to its completion.

Redang Holiday Beach Villa
Not a wonderful experience. I like redang but this resort put me off. Will visit redang again but definitely not to the same resort. Room is dirty. Lots of creatures in the room. I have a huge monitor lizard in my room throughut my stay. In the middle of the night, there is always rats and huge lizards crawling around. The light is too dim for our stay to be in comfort.
There is no specific instruction upon our checking in like the place and time for departure to snorkel. We did not find any reception or check in counter upon our arrival. We waited for a while and when nobody approach us, I went to the snorkeling counter to enquire and realize that we are supposed to check in there. With no instruction and the staff there actually saw us standing there waiting without even bothering to approach us.
The food is very lousy. I did not get to eat at other resort but the breakfast really put me off. Just toast, nasi lemak, fried mee, hard boil egg, porriage that's all.
The only pros about the resort is its magnificent view from the sea view semi d chalet. But again, I feel the price is not worth the view.

Laguna Resort: a luxury resort..
Nice resort with nice and new beddings and sheets and not to forget the tv in the room!!!! There's none of this at the rest of the resorts along this stretch. Anyways, i'll urge you not to go for this if you are out with frens. They may instead decide on a room out on a movie on air...which is a terrible waste for a beach holiday...
I'll reccommend this for family. Each room can comfortably accommodate to 4 persons. We took 4 single beds and it was nice.
There's a nice pool and a jacuzzi!!! good for a knock-out and bubble-off after your heat from the snorkel and boat trip.
generally, the resort is kept fairly clean.

Redang Bay Resort: Satisfaction aplenty!
redang bay resort was our choice of accomodation for this trip...and it was not an extremely luxurious hotel/resort but it was very comfortable nonetheless!
our group of five stayed in a family room which consisted of a queen sized bed and a bunk-bed which in total could sleep a minimum of 8 people! all that space! :D there is a small tap outside every room to wash off unwanted dirts and sediments from the sea before charging into the toilet to have a nice warm bath! there are also ledges outside the room for the hanging of used clothing.
