Redang Laguna Resort: Redang's Nicest Resort
Redang Laguna is a very new and nice resort. It has a swimming pool, nice and big rooms and all other anemeties. Located along the nice Panjang Beach (Pasir Panjang), sunbathing on the sun deck chairs is heavenly.

Redang Reef Resort: Where I Stayed
Redang Reef Resort is situated at Pasir Panjang of the Redang Island. It provides basic accommodation, all rooms are with air-condition, with bathroom. There is a Dive Centre attached to the resort.
A 3 days, 2 nights, full-board package will cost around RM400.
Great views of the sea and the beach as it is situated on the high rocks. The beach behind the resort is worth checking out too. There is a small lagoon where you can swim and snorkelling is great there too. At night, you will find "blue sand" on the beach too.

Mozana Beach Chalet: Seaview Chalet
Superb! Cheap & Good. I got an air-con seaview chalet with attached bath & toilet, on the beach front, at RM100 per night. This price already include 4 meals, 2 sessions of 4-hour snorkelling trips with coach, returned boat transfer between Merang jetty. The owner and staff there are super friendly, and "A" for them!!!

Redang Reef Resort: Nice Resort
Its more worthwhile to get packages from local travel agencies in Kuala Trengganu. They are comparatively cheaper and includes lodging, food and boat trips for snorkelling. I paid slightly less than SGD 200 for a 4 day 3 night stay excluding the transport to Kuala Trengganu.
This resort has average facilities. However, water from the bathroom have a rusty smell and its a bit brownish in colour when I was there.
Great views of sunrise from the dining area.

Coral Redang Island Resort: Enjoyable and charming resort with good service
The surroundings is amazing, the beach is just outside your bungalow, the pool build in wood is next to the bar and restaurant. This is not a place were you go partying.. This is a place to relax and enjoy being alive.. If you are unable to relax here? well.. then I don't know where you could go ;)
Whilst visiting an island blessed with underwater beauty such as Redang it would be considered a sin not to participate in diving or snorkeling. Coral dive centre offers daily dive and snorkel trips.
Sea kayaks can be hired for an energetic paddle to one of the closer islets, or the untouched tropical jungle can be explored on a guided trek through to the other side of the island. However... we didn't... we preferred to stay on the beach and do a little snorkeling and we also wanted to stay close to our bungalow for our little nap after lunch :-)

Berjaya Beach Resort: Redang Most Private - Berjaya Beach Resort
I did not stay here but I trekked from Pasir Panjang beach to Berjaya Beach Resort before.
This is a quiet place with a wide choice of sumptuous wooden chalets in delightful, landscaped gardens and an excellent private beach (eg. Deluxe Garden Chalet, Redang Hillview, Redang Seaview and etc).

Redang Pelangi Resort: Redang Island 1st Resort - Redang Pelangi Resort
This was my second resort I stayed in Redang Island. I used to stay in Redang Holiday Beach Villa but decided to try out other resorts.
Since most of the resorts were fully booked and this was the one available during the Labour Day long weekend (28 April to 01 May 2007), we were thankful and we had a memorable holiday there.
This is a more casual resort-style affair that offers twin and quad-sharing chalets. It appeals more to the locals. There are two queen-sized bed with air-conditioning and attached hot shower room in our quad-sharing room. If you are hoping for satelite TV, bar fridge or bathtub, then you are in the wrong resort.
Redang Pelangi Resort provides the following facilities and services:
1) Return bus and air ticket booking.
2) Kuala Terengganu hotel booking.
3) Two souvenir shops.
4) Beach & group games -
. Beach volleyball
. Kite flying
. Sand-castle building
. Card / board games
5) Disco, karaoke and CD Movies.
6) Dive shop and snorkeling centre.
I will recommend this resort if you are on a budget and will like to mingle with the locals.
Even though all the meals are simple but they are delicious, like local home-cooked food and never run out of food because they top-up whenever the dishes are running low and there are breads, biscuits and hot drinks available 24 hours.
The dive centre staffs are very friendly and helpful. Thumbs up for them!

Berjaya Beach Resort: The most luxurious lodging on Pulau Redang
I took a Free-&-Easy package for 3 Days and 2 Nights, travelling by direct flight from Singapore, including 2 American breakfasts, 2 Buffet Dinners and 1 snorkelling session. Not including Marine Park Entry fee of MYR5 but including taxes and surcharges, I paid S$528.
Berjaya Redang Beach Resort has 152 (and expanding) Malaysian style wooden chalets/suites with ensuite bathrooms. Room facilities include individually controlled air-conditioning, IDD, colour TV that offers ONLY Malaysian free channels, one channel for in-house movies and CNN, coffee and tea making facilities and a minibar.
There are 5 types of rooms: Superior, Garden View, Hill View, Sea View and Suites. (I stayed at the Garden View)
TIP 1: The room is comfortable especially if you have one on the second floor where you get the luxury and the privacy of a balcony.
TIP 2: If you are having a Garden View Room, asking for 3903, 3904, 4003, 4004, 4103, 4104, 4203 & 4204. These rooms are enclosed around a scenic landscaped portion of the grounds with wooden bridges and a river running through.
The resort is currently expanding with more Hill View, Sea View and Suites being added. These new rooms are creeping up one of the headlands, with the new suites being furthest from the beach. However, once completed, from these locations, you will get a great unobstructed view of Teluk Dalam Bay, where the Resort is sited.
Service is fine. Everyone greets with a smile.
The resort owns the bay, sitting on fine white sand. Very soothing to touch.
The resort is sheltered from the elements by 2 headlands, nesting deep in the "crevice". The water is thus relatively calm, and aided by a gradual beach slope, is generally safe for young kids. (The resort going one step further by placing a safety line at about 2m deep from one end to the other) The only flaw: There aren't a lot of fishes here.

Redang Reef Resort: Famous among local divers
Redang Reef Resort is located in the south end of Long beach, which is next to Laguna Redang Resort. It is beautifully built at the corner of the beach surrounded by rocky stones and mountains looking over the white sandy beach. It is unique as you need to walk on a wooded bridge to reach the resort. Guests from Laguna Redang would most likely to walk on the bridge to visit the resort.
I personally like this simple and clean diver resort. It has a diver center with all the tools and equipment needed by a diver to go into a water. From my own observation, this resorts attract many regular local divers especially Malaysian and Singaporean Chinese. Staying here can meet other divers with cozy and friendly environment.
It has its own private beach behind the resort which makes it unique compare to other resorts.
Check out its website to find out more!

Redang Mutiara Chalets: Redang Mutiara
A relatively quiet stretch of beach with a pathway leading to the campsite. The chalets huts are rather old and electricity is not available in the afternoon. (most of the time we'll be off doing snorkelling anyways)However the staff and guides are friendly and eager to help.
Rides to the main snorkelling area and marine cove etc are included and since the place is so small you'll pretty much get to know everyone there in a while. (further rides can be negotiated ^^ )
I'd say its not the place for people used to spa resorts and more for people who are used to outdoor camping. (that is, a definite risk of creepy crawlies at your windows and toilet). Bring your coral-friendly insect repellant pls :) I found the place alright for the cheap price.
Looks out to a deserted beach, a welcomed change from to tourist-infested main beach area. Amenities leaves much to be desired, but guess thats the tradeoff for privacy. Redang is on the whole a peaceful community so expect no alcohol and partying but plenty of nice beach views and tranquility.

Laguna or Redang Bay...: Redang choices...
I stayed at Redang Bay in Redang Island... It was OK to the extent that it was clean and nice... the Chinese cuisine served was always ealier and was adequate. They won't stuff you so you can vomit back to the sea on a boat trip. Redang Bay has a swimming pool, small one. I don't think they ever clean them as no one uses it.
At Redang Bay, they have one of the cheapest diving equipment sets they rent out... but, with cheap, comes cheap diving masters as well...
At Laguna, they had a great swimming pool... and of all, the one and only in the island, an outdoor jacuzzi!!! Hotel's got disco, and a second floor restaurant... The room's really great, if compared with Berjaya, probably Laguna has one of the best rooms in Redang. Massive number rooms too. They are the ones flooding the island...

Coral Redang Resort: Best of Coral
I believe this is the best resort on the whole island of Redang. The chalet type accomodation is especially welcomed in particular at this part of beautiful, laidback island with white sandy beach and pristine sea. Located at the most famous Pasir Panjang (Long Beach), it was considered relatively towards the northern shore of this stretch of beach, away from the much congested southern shore occupied by the massive but dull Laguna Redang.
Tourist choose Laguna nowadays being the grandest and newest establishment there. But the amount of tourists staying there has defeated the purpose of maintaining its classiness and granduer. I would much prefer a laidback and quiet place where I can simply lie down on the lazy chair or hammock reading my favourite book or just simply doing nothing but listening to the sound of wave.
In comparison, this resort is indeed value for money.
Great sea view, an open bar called 'Chicak' (Lizard), a diving/snorkelling centre, a swimming pool (I guess it's for the kids or training pool for the beginners), good and well maintain wooden type chalet despite being one of the original resort in the island a while ago. The rooms is air-conditioned, clean and well kept. It has a open-air restaurant that serve great food, very generous in its varieties, modern and good service.
Well, I did saw a big chicak there! It was kinda like those chicak found in our house ceiling but 3 to 4 times bigger!
There is no pubs or beach disco but I felt good as you can sleep peacefully or having good times looking at the stars. If you preferred a much happening and noisy evening, a short walking distance to the adjacent resort will do.
I think the only weakness is the selection of snorkelling destination. I came as a full board package with expectation that they would bring us to more adventourous snorkelling spots. However, I did found out that all the 3 snorkelling trips arranged were just opposite the beach, near to the islands across the sea. It just took 10 mins to reach these places. I felt short changed by them. In fact I did have a list of recommended snorkelling spots but they just said it was fixed and there is no way to change unless we pay more and do it independantly from other groups.
The services provided from the staff still needed improvement. The standard of English rather poor. I would say it's good enough but not excellent. But the attitude is alright.

Laguna Redang Resort: Laguna Redang Resort
This place is the best. The beach is very beautiful. I would recommend all of you to choose Laguna Redang Resort to spend your holiday in Redang Island.
The room is spacious. I stayed in Deluxe Garden room with balcony.
