Sepilok Bed and Breakfast: Cheap as Chips

Upgrade to an air conditioned room for only £2!!

This is a family ran business, staff (or family members) are extremely helpful and friendly. THis B&B situations at a quiet site of Sepilok, walkable distance (15mins) to Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary and Rainforest Discovery Centre.

Nice clean room for family (well, we were a group of 5 adults!). well maintained.

Food on menu is average, sufficient for a short stay.

Unique Quality: Friendly staff
Cheap accommodation
Pleasant stay :D

Sepilok Jungle Resort: Love Orang Utans!

A nice place to stay, down the road from Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. There were issues, however with our reservation. I had booked about 2 months earlier and reconfirmed 2 weeks before the stay. But when we arrived, instead of the family room that we had booked, we were given a more expensive standard a/c room for 2 (but there were 3 of us staying). They had accidentally (double) booked the fan family room. Anyway after showing proof (lucky I printed out the email confirmation) we received an a/c standard room with one extra mattress for a similar price to our original booked family room.

tips: There are no cash ATM machines nearby. Nearest one is going towards Sandakan.
Bring plenty of mosquito repellant. Even to the 'open' restaurant.

Unique Quality: Lovely lake in the centre of the Jungle Resort.

Sepilok Jungle Resort: Home to Hornbill too

No complaint about the room, decent sized, with tv, a/c attached bathroom. RM100 for twin sharing. Very nice restaurant too, but it's kinda hidden in the trees by the lake. When I 1st got there, I thought the resort doesn't have any place to eat.
The whole area is very quiet at night, right in the village. You can do night jungle trekking at the back of the resort, you need torch-light for that though.

Unique Quality: Just 5 minutes walk to the Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary, the trees around the resort are home to a lot of birds. Get up early to see them feeding around the lake. Fairly easy to see the hornbills!

Sepilok Jungle Resort: A fantastic place to stay in the jungle

This is a fantastic place to stay. You can choose between camping with a tent or live in clean and nice rooms with aircon and balcony. They have also all the choices in between... :)
This is a familiy runed place, and you can notice that.
The very nice owner (an old lady) is walking around in the restaurant every day to make sure that everyone is ok !
You feel so at home here.
The sourroundings are also fantastic, with a lot of nice flowers, bridges and a nice restaurant with very cheap and good food!
I can recommand this place !

Unique Quality: Located just 5 minutes walk from Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. The resort is helpful when it comes to arrange tour packages.
The accomodation is clean and comfortable. And the food is fantastic!

You stay very close to the jungle! It is great!

Sepilok Jungle Resort (aka Mrs. Lim's): A little bit of home in the jungle

We loved the Jungle Lodge in its gorgeous lush setting and were super impressed with the owners (Mrs. Lim and her family)! It's a warm and friendly place with global visitors gathering every morning and evening for dinner at their restaurant, the Banana cafe. The family was eager to help with everything from travel arrangements and airport transfers to fixing a cup of Lemsip (cold/flu hot drink) for my cold. Great service!

Unique Quality: The bird life around the lodge and the lagoon are fantastic, and, again, we loved the owners. The rooms are quite basic, but AC is available as well as hot showers.
