A mid-range hotel at Jalan Pantai
Looks like a proper and "not-so-sleazy" hotel. Near Gaya Street and opposite where I stayed, the Malar Kinabalu Hotel. Clean and reasonably priced.

I stayed in this hotel for a night, just to enjoy a little of KK town. I would definitely recommend this hotel for those who'd like a clean and comfortable stay, without hurting the pockets too much. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. Air Conditioning works well and price is reasonable.
Whilst I stayed last year they were actually upgrading the hotel and today as I check online, the newly upgraded rooms are really pretty nice for the price.
Also, the hotel is located pretty centrally in town. We actually walked to the market downtown as well as all the way to the Warisan Square, the newest mall in KK.
Only thing was when I was staying, renovations were ongoing so only one lift could be used, so it was kind of a hassle when we needed to go in and out of the hotel. It shouldn't be that way now, so yeah I'd definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.
Unique Quality: Has all the necessary facilities, clean and comfy as well as centrally located.
3 star hotel. Clean rooms, except for the hotel corridor. Staff is friendly, in fact, he was able to refer us a friend (who owns a taxi cab) and gave us a tour for a whole day.
Love their breakfast. Got to taste some of the Malaysian food. They have brewed coffee, but some of the English guests don't believe so. hahaha
A nice little hotel right in the center of Kota, good room, and bathroom. Rather modest american breakfast, snooker bar on the first floor and later in the evening a karaoke bar.
Roomprice is not expensive; 85 RM.
Unique Quality: Very close to the center of Kota, the costline, ferries etc.
Got to this hotel through LP, very nice room with wooden floor, as described on LP. Bed is nice, so is the bathroom. The staff are helpful and friendly. Try to ask for a room with the view of the ocean.
Unique Quality: Very central, close to bus terminal, very convenient.
The hotel worth its price. The price was 85 RM for the double room. The room # 1006 was small. The breakfast was bad. I ate only toasts with jam and butter. The fruits were only watermelon and papaya. Staff was not friendly and pleasant. Every morning we tried to descent by lift but it always was occupied by staff with dirty linean, trays.
If staff, breakfast quality don't matter for you, this hotel is a good cheap choice for you. The hotel is centrally situeted and within walking distance to the islands ferry, fruit market, seafood restaurants. It also has internet at reception for a reasonable price of 1 RM per 10 min.

Hello
Has anyone stayed at this hotel? is it in a good location and whats it like or can you suggest a better place to stay.
Nic
Yes. As above. Daya is centrally located. Nice hotel. Shangrila Tanjung Aru or Shangrila Rasa Ria are both good hotels too, though not quite centrally located.

Very central, close to bus terminal, very convenient.
