Good accommodations for backpackers
In our recent trip to Kota Kinabalu, I stayed at the City Park Lodge with my husband and 2 young children. Our room and en suite bathroom were very clean. Another big advantage of the City Park Lodge is its location - just across from the Milimewa Superstore and an outdoor dining area serviced by a couple of restaurants and bars, all under a big canopy. This is just beside the Rainforest Café, which serves continental and local dishes.
