A Park with a View

I stayed here after my hike up Mt KK for 2 nights. Needless to say, after my hike I was just looking for rest and relaxation. The Lodge that I booked in, Hill Lodge was just nice for me and my sister. Not too pricey, clean and comfy plus it had a fantastic view of Mt KK right outside. There are several types of accomodation here, from beautiful, luxurious like the Rajah Lodge to budget Hostels like Rock Hostel. You can check it out online at http://www.suterasanctuarylodges.com/.
Where I stayed though was a walk away from the restaurants, there are two, can't remember the names offhand. Think one was Blossom cafe which was just right in front of the Registration Office. This one had buffet breakfast. The other had dinner and lunches I suppose. Not too sure, as I was unlucky the night I came down from KK. Came down with food poisoning. Hmm..the cafe I had dinner at, well I think the beef wasn't cooked too well. All 4 of us had food poisoning, me and sis the worse. So yeah, not a good experience but I don't think it was the hotel's fault, just the chef or me being unlucky!
Had to say the service there was good, we were in real bad shape at night and called the manager in case we had to go to the nearby town for jabs.( Yup - that bad, I couldn't eat for a couple of days after that). The manager came running by a couple of times to check on us plus even buy us supper in the middle of the night.
Would I recommend this place - yes definitely, just be careful what you eat! Make sure you had medication with you cause the nearest clinic is about 45 mins away.
