Hi,
Both are okay, depending on your preference as they are different ie pine is chalet / colonial style timber construction whereas perkasa is all concrete! go to www.cuti.com.my for pix n contact etc.

Definitely Kinabalu Pine Resort. It's more unique.

Hi,
I have stayed at Pine Resort a few times. I prefer the Pine resort as it is chalet type and each chalet balcony faces the Mt Kinabalu. A deluxe chalet is nice and more comfy. I loved to sit at the balcony and watch the clouds moving across the Mt Kinabalu during sunset and sunrise. Sometimes, with a binocular, you can even see the climbers on Mt Kinabalu during the day. Furthermore, I find their food to be nicer than Perkasa Hotel.

I saw pine resort during one of my visit to kota kinabalu. I think it looks very romantic from the outside, but i could not get the room picture from its website(kinabalupineresort.com). How does the room looks like? Is it clean or looks like a cabin/hostel? I plan to go there for my honeymoon, but i'm afraid i will be disappointed with the room's condition. Is it clean and worth going for "honeymooners"?

by daena

Has anyone got any comments on staying here?
How do you get to Pine Resort from the airport and from Pine Resort to Rasa Ria?
Can you access Mt Kinabalu from here. We don't want to climb but we'd like to experience walking around the base
thanks again

Transport from Kinabalu Pine Resort.

Hi,I'm planning to stay in Kinabalu Pine Resort this Oct with my 2 kids.I'm planning to visit Kinabalu Park and Poring Hot Spring. My questions are:
1.How far is park and hot spring from the resort?
2.Are the places of interest within walking distance?
3.If not, is there any organise tour from the resort and what are the charges like?
4.Is 1 day sufficent to visit both places as I'm planning to stay at the resort for 2 nights before heading to Sandakan?

Hiya, I am not sure where your resort is, but if you want transport to poring ect. go to the tourist info just round the corner from the jesselton and they can organise a minibus for you, I suggest you do a bit of research on poring as we weren't impressed by it.
Enjoy Sepilok and don't forget to visit the Sandakan war memorial, we should all learn from the past.

hi there. kinabalu park is worth visiting. maybe a 15 - 20 minute drive from ur resort. poring hot springs.. well i enjoyed it when i was a kid (im now early 20s) but im not so sure of the state of it now. a lot of locals frequent the place even then. im guessing ur resort might be able to organise the tour, if not there will be other local tour operators tht will. poring hot springs may be about less than an hour's drive fr the resort. probably 40 mins or so. one day is sufficient for both tours if ur not planning to stay long n take half day treks! its beautiful anyway, and very cool the last time i went up. ;) cheers!

There are a few shopping malls in KK.

Centre Point is considered a bigger shopping malls with department stalls inside. Similar to other shopping mall in other parts of Malaysia, you can find apparel, shoes, daily used items, etc here. There is also a cinema in Centre point where you can catch a movie if you are too free.
