Mandarin Hotel

I stayed at the Mandarin Hotel, an OK-ish 'budget' type of hotel. KK doesn't have a lot in the way of budget accomodation, so this may be one of the cheaper options. The rooms are satisfactory: nothing special, nothing bad.

PRO: Excellent location. The main nightlife area, Beach Street, is literally right behind it, and the bay area is a mere 10 minute walk away.

CON: The staff here are notoriously unfriendly, but don't mind this as you won't have to interact with them much.

  • Opinion of Price: less expensive than average
