    A hut - freezing cold!!!! This is what u get when the heated dorms are all booked out!

    Good opportunity for frens to build really close relationships.... u need each other to keep warm!

    The accommodation here will be cheap if you know the locals who works here. This year, is my first year, staying outside the national park. This place is about 2km away from National Park. Got this place for RM100 for 3 rooms. Original price for this is supposed to be at RM240. :-)

    First time experience of getting cold shower here. Its like ice water.

    Not much of outstanding facilities. Restaurant in this hotel is currently under renovation. So, you can just take a walk to Kinabalu Rose Cabin for your meal.

    A room starts from MYR70. Family rooms and chalets are available for MYR126 and MYR200 respectively.

    The surrounding grounds are terraced vegetable and flower gardens, making this family-run hotel a pleasant place to stay. The restaurant serves delicious Chinese, Malay and Western dishes at reasonable price. A 5% government tax is added and rooms usually cost 40% more on weekends.

    It is about 1 km southeast of park headquarter.

    This clean and friendly place has spacious rooms with balconies facing Mount Kinabalu. They are comfortable and have good views of the mountain.

    Pleasant - Best that you can get here at 3273m above sea level...

    Advice : Book early! This is the only heated accomodation around!

    Sayat Sayat Hut is located at the rock face region near the summit of Mount Kinabalu. Unlike Laban Rata hut, Sayat Sayat hut has no electricity and only the most daring will try spending a night here in this high altitude and freezing temperature at night. The only good thing is the accomodation is free.

    This is located at the 11,000ft marker but but with minimal amenities. Beautiful scenery if the fog doesn't block the view.

    Great View with minimal mobile signal, strong signal only available near the main door entrance.
    1) Kitchen to boil hot water
    2) Clean Bed Sheet
    3) Okay Rooms
    4) Cold Water

    Very basic guesthouse but its also the most equip at this level.

    1) Restaurant
    2) Hot Water Bath
    3) Board Game for Rental
    4) TV

    And the best thing of them all, signal for Mobile Phone (Celcom and Digi)

    Basic and yet comfortable especially after a long trek up to about 3350 metres. You may not have much choice anyway as this is the only accomodation here.

    • For hostel, only RM30 for Malaysian, one dorm got 3 double decker bed, shared bathroom. The bed is not that good and not that bed either. Got living room area in the hostel, so you can play cards or whatever while killing time. For private room or chalet price range is around RM300++. Got tv and astro at the restaurant area but the food is expensive, maybe you can just order drinks and watch tv until the restaurant close at 10pm.

    The view is great, surrounding by nature.

    Yo.. last minute luckily we still manage to book this no heater hut.. waras hut.. 2 rooms with 6 beds each plus the cooking facilities.

    Waras hut is very near to Laban Rata, around 50m away, 5 minutes walk. Surprisingly, we were there in early January and the night is not cold at all!

    The toilets are outsite the hut. There are 3 toilet where 2 are with shower. Hot water is available but the volume is always subjected to change.

    Blanket is provided for each bed. The room is quite RM17 per night.
