Tune Hotels is located directly in front of the Hilton Hotel at Borneo Road. Check in to the room was breeze & fast. You will need to place a deposit of RM5 for the card key and returned to you when you check out. Opened just a few months, so everything is still new. Room is very small but the bed & pillows were comfortable and come with a ceiling fan. Hot shower is good anytime of the day. However you need to purchase air-condition time limit of 12 or 24 hours, pre-programmed into the card key. Very high tech. Every single minutes and hour usage will be automatically deducted from the overall time you purchased. Because the room is so small with a moving fan directly above the bed, the air-con is actually very cold.

Location wise it is within walking distance to town center (10-15 minutes), water front (across the main road) & shopping complexes (around the right hand corner - Parkson). For seafood, the Top Foodcourt Center is just walking distance behind the hotel. Turn left when you are out from the hotel main door. Walk up hill and when you reach the traffic light, go left again. Walk for about 100m or so across the road at your right hand side (another traffic light infront of a pub). The foodcourt is at 3rd storey car park building. Go for the number #25 stall. Tasty & fresh seafood and reasonable priced.

Newly opened budget hotel operated by chain linked to AirAsia. I stay there during the first month of opening. The hotel is truly well maintained, at least the first month )Apr 2009). Howver, there is a pub right below the hotel. I stayed in Room 103, right above the pub which had very noisy music till 2am. I was unable to sleep. I am not sure if it happens to other rooms.

Newly opened so everything is still quite new. no complaints about firmness of beds. they claim to use king koil. sheets were clean. hot water shower worked very well. so did the aircon and the fan in the room. no towels or toiletries except for toilet paper and a bathroom towel mat was provided. Very basic. no dressing table. only a metal rack to hang your clothes. provided about 4 hangers.i like the fact that you pay for what you use. 24 hours aircon will cost you MR$21. in our 4 days there, we only needed to buy 48hours of aircon units. should you have remaining hours left in your card for aircon, this is not refunded to you. i think they should refund us to keep with their slogan pay what you use. you can leave your luggage there for MR$0.50 per luggage if your flight is late in the evening. can also book your airport passage back. costs MR$9.99 but there was a promo when i was there so we paid MR$7.99 per passenger
