Abell Hotel: Please do not stay here

They fashion themselves as a boutique hotel but it is nothing but a boutique hotel. Rooms without a view and when you have view it is of the road and other buildings. There are better hotels in the vicinity for the same price for better maangement. The lady manager charged for the help the front desk gave me saying that the telephone call he made to help me was to be charged to me at 1 ringitt a minute.
I will not stay here and as soon as i could i left for the Hilton which is like going from Hell to the Heaven.
I do not recommend it and have told all my professional contacts to avoid this hotel, all because the manager was tactless and not respectful of her own employees. the front desk and concierge etc were all friendly, rooms are small

UNFRIENDLY MANAGEMENT ESPECIALLY THE LADY MANAGER IN THE EVENINGS.

Drop In Guest House: Good Value!

Good value guest house. Cheap and excellent location where I can easily look for those famous food in kuching and also places. Since this is a new guest house, the place is quite clean although some of the shower rooms are a bit small.

They got the Orang Utan and Hornbill drawings on their wall which is good for photo taking by foreigner. And the bench and table is made by recycled pallet which is quite special to me.

Riverside Majestic Hotel Kuching: Kuching Hotel

The Hotel was very busy when i arrived and I was upgraded to an Apartment/Suite, this room was very good as was the food and service in the main dining room.

My Laundry was returned un ironed...I presume washed.

My Mobile Phone "disappeared" from my room, staff of course said they did not take it and it wasn't turned into lost and found.... come to your own conclusion.

Caution DO NOT leave any items of value in your room...they may not be there when you return.

Damai Puri Resort & Spa: Great for honeymooners

It's quiet, remote and nice. Its great for a 2 night stay, longer than that and you would be bored.

The pool which is facing the south china sea.

Serviced Apartments: Somerset Gateway Kuching

I need a place to prepare light breakfast before we hit the road so here they make it available and kids like it. I can just leave the kids with my hubby while me and my sister went shopping nearby.

They have a pool but time was short so never visited but the view overlooked the Sarawak river is nice.

Hilton: In the name of Luxury

Quite old hotel and facilities. Very dull swimming pool. Located opposite of Waterfront, easy to walk around the town. They have internet access in all the rooms and WIFI in the lobby but what I don't understand, why can't they give it as a complimentary to the hotel guest? Very expensive.

Singgahsana Lodge: Very good Guesthouse

A very clean, safe and reasonable price guesthouse in Kuching. Staff are friendly, helpful. During my stay in kuching, I have booked the day trip with them, is cheap as compare to those offer by the tour agency or travel by taxi.
Really have a very pleasant stay there.

very warm and clean. Will be able to meet a lot of travellers there.

Hotel Singgahsana: Authentic, Elegant Bargain!

Owned by those who operate the Outrageously Ramsay Ong gallery nearby, undoubtedly authentic and tastefully decorated budget accomodation for those who travel to Kuching. Waterfront is about 1-minute walk!

Harbour View Hotel: Affordable Hotel

Business traveller with limited budget type, means that those who can't afford Hilton or Holiday Inn nearby because the rate is higher than the company budget.
Good choice for those who wanna opt for something better than hostel/backpackers lodge.

Great view of the waterfront.
