Eastwood always give people an image as a place to play golf only,but there a nice place to stay too~in the early i always tot the price to stay in eastwood will be higher than others but yet its cheap!! 127 for a standard room,its worth!! good service and friendly staff.. altought Eastwood was a bit far from city but there are chattle bus bringing us out to town and wothout any charges, i never know that!! Eastwood was quiet at night compare to town and it hundred percent safety comfirmed of course! Facilities was greact! the view was very nice and romantic if you going with your partner~ XD No girls like to follow the guy to play golf,its hot! thn i can choose for a swim at their pool, and its covered by roof,indoor swimming poor! nice! i not need to worry about my skin! there are steam bath, sauna and Jacuzzi too! wohh,try it! its valuable!
Unique Quality: Try Jacuzzi in the evening,its romantic when your partner with you~ =D

Their rooms are surprising me. It had a very comfortable design. It meet our need who travel in a team. Their service are great & friendly. The most important is their room rate are reasonable. It is a suitable place for a family nor team vacation.
Unique Quality: The team building activities are very nice. Their swimming pool are fantastic coz it is indoor, no matter how is the weather outside it never affect my mood to jump into the nice pool~

I was attracted by the golf course offered. The Golf course was amazing and various type of golf lessons are provided as well. Other than the golf course, there are up to 120 rooms for accommodations. The rooms is well-decorated and I was very comfortable staying in it. I enjoyed good room service as well as free shuttle bus service. I can enjoy swimming, Sauna and steam bath as well as jacuzzi. Gymnasium is available also. A one time Pay for umlimited boat ride at the lake is enjoyable as well. For dining purposes, there is a restaurant called Lakeview Terrace Coffeehouse which offer various cruisines including western, chinese and local. It is excellent for stay and play trip as it offer team building program. Various outdoor activities is offered such as jungle trekking. Of course, Golf, exercises and jacuzzi, is way too good to be a sensible choice for holidays and relaxing.
Unique Quality: Great golf course, great environment because located around the forest sites.

Built with natural timber, the chalets spread around a beautiful and lush landscape surrounding are complemented with a well-equipped fitness centre with Gymnasium, Sauna and Jacuzzi... The rooms are equipped with IDD, CTV and mini-bar... coffee/tea making facilities are also available in-room...
Unique Quality: F&B facilities are located at the nearby golf club house... This includes the Lake View Terrace and the Driving Range Cafe... Buggy transport are provided for guests to move around the resort...

You can find a number of budget accomodations in Miri, booking ahead is not necessary. Depending on your budget, you can choose between a lodging house or inn in the city center
Miri is great for seafood, there are a couple of seafood restaurants along the Miri waterfront and the prices are cheaper than normal restaurants plus the food is fresh. Another dish you should try is the mee kolok (like wantan me but no wantan). Sarawak laksa is quite nice as well, much different from the Penang laksa

Hi, it depends on what you mean by budget accomodation. Most of the budget accomodation are in Miri city center (old town). See below for a link on accomodation in Miri :)

Miri airport caters flights from West Malaysia, Sabah & other parts of Sarawak including the rural destinations. So, if you have a few hours layover & feel bored waiting at the airport, you can try to use the airport lounge which has some facilities that may be useful
In the lounge, there are food & drinks, satellite TV, internet (PC & wifi), comfy chairs and showers. To enter, you either must fly on business class on MAS or pay RM38 (roughly US$10)
The club is located on top of a picturesque sand bar between the Miri River and the South China Sea...One can see the Miri Waterfront and the city just across the Miri River on the 2nd Nine... The club was founded in 1910 and only 6 holes was playable in 1924...
Today, the 18-holes par-72 course plays to a long 6,858yds from the blue tees... with the 1st and 2nd Nines playing to 3,509yds and 3,349yds respectively... The fairways are flat, straight and long with its fair share of man-made water hazards... Part of the 1st Nine plays along the beach and part of the 2nd Nine plays along the Miri River... The club is a walking course with caddy (not compulsory)... The clubhouse has the usual changing rooms and pro-shop... It has a well-run golfer's terrace for simple and fast food and drinks... Other amendities include the driving range and the swimming pool...
The interiors of Sarawak used to be inaccessible; the only way to reach the rural towns and villages were by river. From Miri, Twin Otter planes operate regular flight schedules to Bario, Long Lellang, Long Banga, Marudi, Long San, Ba-Kelalan, Lawas, Long Seridan, Long Lama, and Long Akah. There are direct flights from Limbang to the Bario Highlands, and from Lawas to Ba-Kelalan. The airports in Mulu and Limbang towns support the larger Fokker Friendship aircraft.
Evidently the first day I was at the Treetops Lodge, it was a time when schools of small pink shrimp were at the Siwa Village beach. Local fishermen and fisherwomen were using nets from boats and handnets to catch them. I took both pictures and videoclips. The two fishermen that let me take a picture of what they had caught were getting ready to leave but spotted a large school of shrimp, ran back into the water, and deployed their net. It was a good decision; when they came back, their basket was full. I am guessing but I think they must use these shrimp to make the local shrimp paste.
Deer Cave is thought to be one of the longest natural passages in the world. This is the cave that hosts the largest number of bats in Sarawak (several millions belonging to different species).
There is an observation point where you can watch the bats flying every evening (by good weather conditions) without disturbing them.
