There are a couple of hotels at Damai Beach we stayed at the Damai Lagoon Resort, which in my opinion was the best one.
The rooms were not exceptional, but the swimming pool was fantastic, with a mini-beach and waterfalls. The best thing is that it was always empty and quiet. Leave a Comment Theme: HotelComparison: most expensive

There are a lot as I mentioned before. We have Holiday Inn Beach Resort, Holiday Inn Damai Lagoon, Santubong Beach Resort and Nanga Damai. I love Holiday Inn Damai Lagoon, they have beautiful scenery with nice hotel lobby and the big swimming pool :-) Leave a Comment

Next to the resort, there was a sort of motel with bungallows on stilts. They looked vey picturesque, but I cannot tell how comfortable they are. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

A popular beach resort. A good place to relax and escape from the city life. There are variaties of accommodations offered in this resort. You can choose to stay on the lower ground area, which is just next to the beach, or at a higher ground, which overlooks the sea. It offers a range of watersports, too.

The Permai offers a unique stay in the tropical rainforest. There is a chioice of accomadation; Treehouse(2 people), Cabins(2-6 people) and Longhouses(dorm style). All of these are surrounded by the jungle on one side, and a lovely beach on the other. Each accomadation is seperate from one another, and it feels like you are isolated. We originally booked the air conditioned cabin, but it was pretty old and dark. So we chose the non air-conditioned room cabin, which was a lot newer and brighter. We had to use mosquito nets, because none of the windows were sealed shut. The rooms felt like they had not been used for ages, but they were perfectly bearable. The sounds of insects in the night was deafening, but very nice. There is a small pool that is fed by a mountain stream. The Permai is pretty expensive for its standard, but it was cheaper than any other place around the Damai Beach area. It was empty, apart from 2 other people, because we went in January, the tourist off-season.

The apartment unit which we rented is fully equipped in terms of cutlery, kitchen utensils, cockware, crockery, a variety of glasses and other implements of daily use including a washing machine. Bed linens and towels are also provided with each apartment. Normal household supplies such as toilet paper, soap and other cleaning products are included in the rental price and will be replenished as needed. Get to surf the Net with a beautiful view of greenery and mountain. The net access was complimentary. Very idylic and great view of the surrounding greenery and sunsets. Great and suited for family (or a group of 6 persons) as the unit easily accomodates about 6 persons with 2 double beds and 2 single beds. USD 100 for one nite stay at a 3 bedrooms with kitchen, dining and a balcony with a view. This condominium has a pool, kiddies pool, gym, sunset views, trees.......nature. Has 24-hour security. Complimentary internet access. Access to the beach area is with a gravel path through the mangrove forest fronting the condominium perimeter.
