Villa Hotel: Dated decor but cheap for a nights stay
The Villa Hotel is a cheap option that's located just to the north of the Covered and Central Markets, about a 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal. General deco is a bit old fashioned and tatty with stains on the walls but it did the job for the one night we were in town. For RM30 (which we bargained down from RM35) we got 2 single beds, a/c, a small TV and a so-so bathroom.

Permata: Best Room in Town
I was in Sibu last week, was looking around for a cheap place to stay as i was going to be in town for 2 weeks. 1st few days i stayed in a hotel, My problem was to wash my clothes & food. A local new friend introduced me to this place. Its not a hotel but 3 rooms are available for rent on daily, weekly or monthly rate.
Room 1 has attached bathroom, air conditioned, queen size bed
Room 2 & Room 3 has single bed and fan. external toilet/shower.
Unique Quality: The interesting part here is,
1. I am able to cook for free, noodles, eggs.
2. Free self laundry, i can wash my clothes for free. there is a washing machine. and
3. The best of all is free internet link, bring your own note book and connect to the LAN cable
Room 1 is RM$60/night
Room 2 & Room 3 is RM$40/night
This place is so cool, that everything is within a walking distance.
The front part of the living area is an office, you can get assistance to print out your job, fax, and everything is cheap here.
The owner is a cool guy.
I will return here and will introduce to others visiting Sibu.

Paramount hotel: One of sibu city hotel
Its a city hotel. Good to stay here if u are travelling with family. Cheaper restaurants just around the corner. Within walking distance to town centre and shopping malls. Good hospitality
Unique Quality: Very great views, especially form the 10th floor hahahah where i was staying. U can see the mosque, the largest river and some big ships
