Need help on Genting >> Directions or guide to go to buy bus tickets from Genting to KL Sentral

by henry_yan

Need your help to give me directions or general guide on buying bus tickets at Genting to go to KL Sentral as this is my first visit in many years. I'm sure things must have changed a lot!

1. Where are the ticket counters located? Near First World Hotel?

2. Do I have to buy the bus tickets in advance? If yes, will 2 days ahead be ok?

3. Just in case I miss the bus and there are no more tickets for the next few, is there a taxi station in Genting? Do these taxis use meter, voucher or I need to negotiate? Any standard rate (so that I don't get ripped off)?

Thanks for reading :)

Try checking out this link: http://www.rwgenting.com/en/getting_there/index.htm

It'll give you most, if not all, of the information you require.

If you miss the bus genting - KL sentral you can always get the cable car to lower station and get the bus there.

If that still doesn't work, get the cable car to lower station and get to Gombak LRT & take the LRT to KL Sentral

Walking the streets and visiting the beatifull shopping centre's were one of the highlights.
Going up in the KL-tower and looking over the city is absolutely a must do activity.
No building in KL is alike - this gives the city a charachter of its own, The tidiness of the city made an impression on me.
Allso the friendly and helpfull people. If you want to know something, just ask.

Twin Tower
This is an impressive fountain behind the Twin Tower.

I would never forget my dinner there. At that night, the food was so tasty, the wind was so gentle, the sky was so beautiful, and we were so happy. Everything was just perfect...

The Muddy Confluence

by l_joo

This is the the Muddy Confluence always mentioned in the history of Kuala Lumpur. It is actually a point of juncture between two well known Lumpurese rivers, Gombak and Kelang rivers. Built on the juncture is our beautiful Masjid Jamek Mosque which is the oldest back in year 1909.

This location is where those 87 miners began their first ever excavation of tin during the old days. To look at this Muddy Confluence, visitors should use a liitle imaginations to visualize a scene where 87 miners busy at work 150 years ago, in a place where mud, water, sweat, trees, boats, shanties etc all at once whereas what you see today is only concrete walls and drain. A must.
