    Besides the location, I wasn't especially impressed by this place. For rooms, you can either choose an interior room (a bit cheaper) that's windowless, or a room with a window (like I had), where you have to deal with incredible street noise, especially given the popular bar across the street on weekend nights. The bed was fine...the shared baths were clean enough, and I never had to wait. The staff pleasant, but could have bit a bit more helpful. Location, though, is top notch.

    Nice rooftop garden for breakfast which is included....or, having a few beers at the end of the day.

    Located at Kampung Attap, 15 minutes slow walk from the back of Chinatown. Start walking from Nanyang Art shop (Jalan Petaling) toward Bulatan Merdeka (Jalan Maharajarela). Cross the heavy traffic roads underneath the monorail. You can see a small police station in front of you, keep walking until you see Kampung Attap road. The IYH is just nearby but the building is hidden behind, try to ask local peoples. I have been there many times and also to get my IYH Card done.

    Treeker Lodge is located in the heart of KL at the Bukit Bintang area. This is an ideal location with the shopping belt almost at your door steps. The famous Jalan Alor is only a street away. The monorail stations (Bukit Bintang & Raja Chulan) serves this area. The pubs and restaurant area (Tengkat Tong Shin & Changkat Bukit Bintang) are nearby where the night life is happening. You could chose to stay in their dorms or private rooms and they even have private rooms with ensuite (RM90). There are many backpackers which you could stay in so even if you dont book any accommodation you will still be able to find somewhere to stay.

    The Le Meridien was just opened in October 2004. Some of the rooms have bathrooms with a great view. Have a shower or a bath a watch the scenery from the 33th floor.

    The location is great, walking distance from the KL sentral station, where you arrive with the Express train from the airport.

    Since I stayed at the Le Meridien I tryed the Helath clb next doors which is shared between the LeMeridien and the Hilton

    The therapist was very knowlegable and she took great care on my travel/computerwork related back and shoulder problems 170 RM

    I was staying at the Regent (Four Seasons) in KL - and when I went to the Hard Rock Cafe, located inside the Concorde Hotel, I stopped at the front desk for a look at a room. Well, I ended up moving to the Concorde from the Regent. The Concorde is new, clean, and much more reasonably priced. IU would describe the decor as modern contemporary - clean lines. Plus it is a more trendier- younger crowd, with tourists (like me). I only viewed and stayed in the Premier Wing. I would stay here again!!!

    TV, Mini Bar, Iron and Ironing Board:) Fresh fruit. Hair Dryer, in-room internet access and desk. Changing area off a nice bathroom. Breakfast included over looking the pool. Fast laundry service! And the Premier Check-in was very welcoming, they served tea and cookies while I waited!

    The Pan Pac is a good priced Hotel. I normally book thru: http://www.ebookers.com and they have often very good deals for all the Pan Pacific group hotels.

    The rooms are very nice, the restaurant is also ok. The pool is some sort of small, and the Pool area does not really invite to rest there

    Coming into the chaos of Puduraya feeling pretty frazzled on a hot day and laden down with our backpacks, the last thing we wanted to do was charge around Kuala Lumpur like headless chickens looking for accommodation. Add to that the fact that I couldn't figure out how to make a phone call for some reason (can't remember why!) and the Information booth was closed didn't help. Anyway, we figured that there were a bunch of hotels etc listed in Chinatown nearby to find one eventually - so it was literally mana from heaven to see the moment we stepped out of the Bus Station Hotel Impiana advertising special rates for their 'superior' rooms! I seem to remember the price was about £20 for a nice room with a great view, which was great as far as we were concerned! This was a real score as it was so close to so many attractions (Central Market, Chinatown & Petaling Street) and transport links and we seemed to be about the only westerners in the hotel when we went down to our all you can eat buffet breakfasts, save those ubiquitous Germans... ;-)

    This is a very new hotel with great views and a fantastic location for the price! The staff was very friendly and apparently all Liverpool FC supporters as they kept joking and asking me if I was a relation to Michael Owen - making friends with the receptionists meant they were always extremely helpful and treated us well. One of my favourite things about this hotel was the 'No Durian Allowed' signs in the lift foyer - apparently the fruit is so stinky that the hotel rooms need to be fumigated after being exposed to them! After smelling them I can totally understand that!
