The only catch is you have to stay at the Ritz! The best hotel in KL can sometimes be available for less than 400 Ringgit - and this, when translated into western prices is an absolute bargain. The service levels puts the Ritz in the Five-star bracket, by providing a Butler-service in every room. "My Man" was available 24 hours a day to provide teas/ coffee (complimentary), run baths, iron newspapers etc. He also serves an impressive breakfast in your room, whipping away large silver domes to reveal your scambled egg on toast. There is also a "club" which provudes free drinks and snacks at various times of the day.
My favourite memory was emptying the contents of our rucksacks, and after 3 weeks it was not pleasant, and getting them washed for free. Not only were they returned but the shirts cam back as new, duly packaged with plastic and cardboard wrapping. It`s not a hotel,it`s Executive Suites with the luxury of any 5 star hotel. All apartments has house keeping facility,room service around the clock...it`s with in walking distance to the KLCC. The place is clean,comfortable and very spacious(we rented the 2 bedrooms apartments)it comes with 2 TV sets,2 bathrooms,3 toilets,a kitchen,a living room,2 balconies,a dining table for 5 people,an ironing board,an iron and a laundry room located at the 8th floor.
It has a swimming pool,a gym,offers breakfast for free(the breakfast buffet is very delicous and has a very wide range of almost everybody`s choice! They even have an umbrella in each apartments for rainy days! How thoughtful! Our offer was 2 bedrooms apartment for 485 RM++. Considering that this is rated a 3-star hotel, the room amenities are worthy of a 4-star rating. I would say, Lonely Planet's description is very apt: "a smarthotel that's of international standard" There is a mini ref, hair dryer, tea/coffee making facility, cable TV, hot & cold water and bath tub. It is fully carpeted and has individually-controlled aircon. Upon request, they can lend you ironing facility and plug adaptor, free of charge.
The hotel is in the periphery of Chinatown. Although it is subject to traffic jam 24 hours a day, it is its strategic location that I consider its advantage. It is within walking distance of Petaling Street where the night market is. It is also adjacent to the Puduraya bus/taxi hub and is a stone's throw from Masjid Jamek and Pasar Seni LRT stations. The hotel could also serve as your starting point for a walking tour of KL as it is close to some of the city's popular landmarks. And, you definitely won't go hungry! There are fast food chains, convenience stores and street vendors almost at the hotel's doorstep.
