We went in a group of 8. Booked 4 rooms for stay over weekend fm Friday till Sunday. When we reached there, it took a very long time for us to complete the checking in process. We were given access card but never being told how to use or that we must use it to board the lifts to our rooms. A security officer lent us a hand on how to access the lift to our floor. Unfortunately, all 8 cards failed to access safely. We went back to the reception and the guest officer told us he had keyed in the wrong date. We have to wait further. . Once we reached the room, we switched on the tv. No tv channel can be watched. we thought since it's late night, probably no programmes. The next morning, we switched it on again. No channel still and we called the guest service desk. They advised us that they are having problems with the satelitte and will call us once ok. But this goes on till our check out day. No channel and no call. On saturday morning, while using the toilet, our flush not working. Luckily it's a small biz. We called the techinician for repair. At this point was wondering aren't they suppose to do maintenaince on this. On saturday night, we was thinking of spending money on RM17 each for ice kachang and ice chenjol a local delicacies. The one selling at those road sides only cost RM2. We thought it's ok since it's hotel that's why it cost Rm17. Well... we are so surprise the ice chendol that was served to us did not even reached the standard of what the roadside offers. In fact, there are a lot of ingredients missing fm the ice chendol and ice kachang we ordered. We were expecting at least the hotel could do is to present the same standard as the roadside offering considering rm17 we paid. So, a definitely bad service for a 5 stars hotel. I will not recommend it to anyone looking for good service.
The only good qualities i noticed is the huge rooms and the good location since the monorail station is right in front of the hotel and shopping is right underneath the accomodation. But wait so is Melia Hotel which is 4 stars hotel and in fact offering a better service than Berjaya timesquare. our hotel stay was pathetic being a 5 star hotel. 1st room was down in maintenance. they allocated us at the East wing which mainly caters to long term guests. The wardrobe was run down, aircond was not working. only 1 phone provide. can't asked for extra towels. the tv modem needs to warm up for 30 mins and you need crash course to manipulate the tv control. once running, u only get asian news not global news, no movies not entertaining at all. Call housekeeping and technicians, non arrived. after 5 hours, went straight down to the reception and complain about the room. Guest relation officer then gave a room on the west wing. Heard that rooms on this side only given to VIPs. wonder what's their definition of VIP???? This time the room was fully equipped except tv, got the supervisor to come teach how to use tv. GRO came and personally gave the towels. Had to hide the towels from the housekeeping. Last straw was when we went for breakfast, we were carrying our bags to go to Sunway Lagoon. Not allowed to bring in bags, so we need to leave them at the baggage counter. no bellhop around to see things, so we left them and rush with our bfast. later found out the bags went to Genting in bus going to Phuket informed by the duty manager. we had to cancel plans and waited for the bags to come back. lost 1 hour checking. we were already fuming with their service. Taxis were expensive there too. we needed to extend holiday, so next day packed and check out and went to Melia and had a swell time, we had computer, towels, travel info. service was swell. never ever go to Berjaya times Square hotel to stay. just good for shopping n entertainment only
they have big rooms, big toilets nice shower facilities, dining table and nice sitting area. Theme: HotelPrice: US$180 and up » Currency ConverterComparison: most expensivePhone: 011-603-2117-8000
