We have been staying at this hotel for the last 7 years on our annual holiday to Kuala Lumpur. The rates are great, the staff are phenomenal, and the rooms are comfortable and a lot more modern since the refurbishment. It is not in the middle of the city, more on the edge, which I like because it is a little quieter than the city but close enough to only cost a couple of dollars by cab to get there.
The food is amazing, especially the buffet breakfast. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful; we feel like royalty when we stay here! For us, it's our Malaysian home :-)
The Pan Pacific Hotel near KLIA billed itself as a 5-star and the best airport hotel a few years running. I beg to differ. The hotel has a nice, almost 3-story lobby. The decor in general, in the room and in the bathroom, as well as amenities in general, could have been a bit more generous.
The service in general falls short. Though not rude, the check-in/front desk staff here wouldn't need to rehearse an acceptance speech for a courtesy award presented by their clients any time soon.
The restaurant Degrees, was another story. The decor and food was really good, particularly the Malay dishes. But good luck if you think one of the multitude of staff would even notice and acknowledge you, let alone ask you what you need.
Way I see it, if you call yourself a 5-star hotel, behave like one.
As for the claim that they're the best airport hotel in Asia, try the Novotel Suvarnabhumi. Much better there.
If I should happen to be passing through KLIA again, I would definitely be seeking out other alternatives.
Unique Quality: It's a long way to Tipperary and to the Pan Pacific. Use their buggy service.
Directions: They have a buggy service in KLIA near the escalator to the KLIA ekspres. You can ring them if you don't see a buggy waiting.
The Pan Pacific on Jalan Putra is a bit away from popular places around the Golden Triangle and KLCC but it offers very comfortable and well presented rooms.
It's been a long while since I have stayed here and I believe that it is now called the Best Western Seri Pacific.
Some of the pictures are a tad dated as you may have noticed by the views from the hotel.
Seri Pacific is a great hotel for the weary travel who has enough cash to spare. The rooms are cozy, the bathrooms are spacious, and the breakfast buffet is worth waking up to (even by a non-breakfast person like me).
It has an open air pool with a view of the city and the towers.
Directions: * 55 minutes from KLIA)
* RM4-6 to the Towers
* Next to the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC)-literally! you just take a few steps.
* Across the road from The Mall, one of the largest shopping complexes in South East Asia
Best Western Premier Seri Pacific Hotel is located in Jalan Putra. The hotel is situated in one of the busiest city location. Overlooking The Mall and part of city which lush and green, the hotel is very convenient in term of services and location. The hotel has restaurant, fitness with swimming pool and lounge for relax. Restaurants are Zende (Malaysian cuisine), Xuang Xi (Chinese), Kofuku (Japanese) and Sehati (hotel lounge)
The room is comfortable and it is also equipped with tea/coffee maker, safety box and also iron and iron board facilities.
Price starts from RM 420 for single room up to RM 1380 for suites.
Unique Quality: Nice location (get starbuck coffee just cross the street), and nice view when you stay in high level floor
Directions: Opposite of The Mall
Just want to show you how the standard room looks like. Not all can afford such a luxury....and for me it was on company expense LOL....
Unique Quality: Its too short a stay, dont have time to make good use of any facilities!
Directions: see earlier tip on Pan Pac KLIA
Nice Hotel with VERY friendly stuff. The facilities are great. Maybe the decoration good be a little bit more…….colorful. It’s kind of gray for my taste.
I haven’t eaten at the restaurant so I can’t give you any tip for this part of the hotel but the breakfast was great so I assume that dinner must be good.
The location is good. You can walk to some attractions but to go really downtown it’s better to take a taxi cause of the Humidity.
Unique Quality: The elevator. Take it as often as you can. It’s a glass elevator so you can see the city on your way up!!
It's no longer a PanPacific and I do not know how Best Western is now running the hotel.
Sorry.
Unique Quality: The rooms are very nice, the restaurant is also ok.
The pool is some sort of small, and the Pool area does not really invite to rest there
