Bukit Bintang's

We stayed in Bintang Warisan Hotel last year on our friend's recommendation. And i must say it was pleasant, we came back a year later.

The staff are helpful, the room were quite spacious, though it has a distinct smell. The bathrooms are considered clean.
We booked for triple and double room, but they upgraded us to 2 connected triple rooms.

If you travel with more than 4 person, you can ask the hotel to arrange for transportation to the airport, which is cheaper than the average taxis out there

Centrally located budget hotel

We spent 4 days/3 nights at Bintang Warisan hotel. Its location is perfect for people who like to go shopping because BB Plaza, Berjaya Times Square, Lot 10, Pavilon are within walking distance! It's only a short taxi ride to Petronas Tower, KLCC shopping center, KL Tower, Chinatown/Jalan Petaling and Central Market.

It is an old hotel so the rooms look their age. There is no gym nor pool here and only serves just your basic accommodation requirements. They do have cold and hot water (for coffee) outside the hallway.

Staff try to help out and give tips, although they won't bend over backwards for customer service. I requested to borrow an electric adaptor because my laptop wouldn't work with the power outlets but since I called at 8:30am, they couldn't help me. They said I had to call at 9AM when housekeeping starts.

I also wish they have airport pick-up service or they can arrange that for you. Taxis can charge you exorbitant amounts so unless you have the patience to haggle and negotiate, they will wear you down.

Unique Quality: Perfect location! Convenience stores are situated in front the hotel, there are a couple of foot massage spas 24/7.

Cheap Stay At The Heart of Bukit Bintang

Stayed there for 1 night for M$120.00 with breakfast. Location was in the heart of Bukit Bintang. Front reception was friendly. Breakfast was a choice of American Breakfast, Kuay Teow Soup, Nasi Lemak or Porridge with coffee, tea & orange juice. Hot & cold drinking water cooler located outside the room in the corridor. Room was adequate in size. Bathroom was small. We reached back to the room very late at night & discovered that the shower had no hot water. Was too tired & it was too late for a room change + it was only for 1 night. Even though with the main air-con switch off - there is still air flowing from the air vent & it got very cold by morning. So what we got was a cold shower in a very cold room! TIP - Cheap stay but when you get your room check everything is working fine first before you go out shopping.

Heart Of Bukit Bintang

Bintang Warisan is in the heart of the golden triangle, close to Bukit Bintang LRT (monorail) and directly across from BB plaza. It is on the Bukit Bintang Road.

The hotel is fairly cheap 115RM per night which includes breakfast for me and the GF. Unfortunatly we missed the free breakfast after waking late. You will find many hotels in this area and after the 1st night we went looking for a cheaper hotel. We ended up next door in Putra Bintang Hotel.

Hotel at the Golden Triangle

Bintang Warisan is a good budget hotel within the Golden Triangle Area of Kuala Lumpur. Jalan Alor, famous for it's hawker food stalls is just behind this hotel. Also within walking distance are the Bukit Bintang Mall and Sungei Wang Plaza.

For RM105 a night, the Superior Rooms are very clean and well maintained. The bathroom is a bit small but everything works fine. They also have a complimentary coffee and tea making facility in the rooms. What I didn't see is a safety deposit box. If you're not bringing any large sums of cash or valuables, that wouldn't matter much.

Breakfast isn't buffet though unlike in other hotels I've stayed in. It is a set meal and you have a choice between American or Malaysian breakfast.

Going back to KLIA is a breeze. Just take a cab directly to the airport for RM50 if you have the luxury of time because KLIA is 60 minutes away by cab. If you are in a rush, take the cab to KL Sentral Station then board the KL Ekspres going to KLIA. If you're flying via Malaysia Air or Cathay Pacific, you may also check in your luggage and get your boarding passes at KL Sentral. Fare is RM8 for the cab and RM35 for the train. The trip will only take 30 minutes.

A boutique hotel in Bukit Bintang

Unique Quality: Bintang Warisan Hotel is said to be the only boutiqe hotel in the heart of the city. The 10 storey, 97 rooms' hotel reflects the grace of the pre-independence era exuding old world charm and a heady glamour. However, apart from its interior and furnishing, you can't help the feeling that there's more could be done to back its claim as a boutique hotel.

Anyway the hotel is strategically located in the heart of the entertainment and shopping paradise of Jalan Bukit Bintang. It is within walking distance to major business and financial centres in the city with convenient accessibility to the city's Light Rail Transit (LRT), Mnorail, bus and taxi services.

Good Value for money..

Our stay was really a nice and a pleasant experience. This hotel is really value for the money we paid. Its centrally located, convenient, in midst of the most happening part of KL, shopping districts, and good night life too. The rooms were clean with basic amenities. A tea/coffee maker, and a mini bar fridge is also provided in the room. The staff is also very helpful and courteous. The bathrooms are also clean and functional. The breakfast was just about average, though not much choice. Overall it was a pleasant stay.. Would definitely recommend this hotel to other fellow travellers also. I feel it is definitely better than some other similarly priced hotels in the same area.

Another question.. Can anyone tell me how to get to Puduraya station frm Bintang Warisan at 6 something in the morning? Will the bus counters be opened that early?

Re: Bintang Warisan to Puduraya Station

hi kim...

if you are not having much luggage, the best way is to walk... it will take about 10 to 15 mins... just walk down jalan bukit bintang to its junction with jalan pudu... turn right and walk all the way to puduraya...
