    I was well greeted by the clean rooms and neat lobby. The rooms had clean showers with a beautiful view of the bukit bintang streets downstairs.

    Room service is good and everything is in tip top condition whenever i'm back after going out for the whole day. Toilets are always cleaned and dried to look the same as check-in condition daily.

    Hotel breakfast is provided by their own cafe at the 2nd floor, it is possible to get a simple and sumptous breakfast here with a great spread of local delights as well as some western breakfast of scrambled eggs.

    I like the conveneint location of the hotel - I can go shopping at the nearby malls, dining at BB Park with live cultural /stage performances or just head to Bintang Walk for more gigs late in the evening.

    The hotel ambience and decoration look simple yet elegant, and view of KL Tower from the room is magnificient.

    Hotel Capitol is centrally located in Bukit Bintang Central, Kuala Lumpur. Being in the main shopping district of KL, the hotel is surrounded by some of KL's most popular shopping malls such as Sg Wang Plaza, Low Yat Plaza and BB Plaza. It is just next to BB Park and also walking distance to Lot 10, Starhill, KL Plaza, Berjaya Timesquare KL and KL Monorail stations.

    Capitol Hotel is in the perfect location for shopping. The hotel is surrounded by huge shopping malls.

    The Lobby is very small in this hotel and the night we checked it we thought we would have a drink in the Lobby Bar as it was open to midnight.

    After unpacking (just before 11pm) we went to the bar only to be told they were closing. Strange, as there were people in there eating and drinking!!

    The rooms in this hotel were ok, but a bit on the small side. We had booked a double room but our room had twin beds. We could have moved the next day but decided to stay in this room due to the FANTASTIC views from the window. It was lovely at night, all the lights and the Twin Towers. The bathroom was huge, I have never seen such a big shower.

    The staff at Reception were lovely and very helpful with recommending tours etc.

    Would I stay here again?? not sure, maybe a bit to small for us, but the location was great.

    I’m not going to rave about this place, really. I’ll grit my teeth and be objective, honest.

    Damn, two simple sentences and I fail. I loved it.

    Part of loving it is in being smitten with KL, but for me part of being smitten with KL is in staying in a cozy, classy place within walking distance of a lot of things that make the city interesting and wonderful.

    That in itself should be a recommendation for the casual traveler. But I’ve also read that this is a 3-star hotel masquerading as something more, and that’s true too. The service throughout is distinctly personal, above-and-beyond helpful. And in a modern city, service makes all the difference.

    Objectively: the rooms are on the small side, but are comfortable and immaculate. At least two sides have great skyline views. You cannot beat the location if you like to shop, eat, or walk to your major tourist sites. Getting to the main bus station is easy, although if you have luggage the would-have-been a short walk will cost you proportionally too much. The café downstairs is great, room service is great. Ultra-early wake up calls/alerts/breakfasts need a little work on coordination, but that’s not entirely the hotel’s fault. (Blame stupid flight scheduling and the poor travel agencies that try to coordinate with them.)

    The room, including the toilet, is clean. The service is good-- the hotel staff are very attentive. Breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices. We had a good view of the Kuala Lumpur skyline from our room. I certainly would recommend this hotel because of its cleanliness, service and location.

    The hotel does not have a pool but it is right within the shopping district. The Imbi monorail station is just a few minutes walk. There are restaurants within the vicinity that serve good food. KLCC is a short taxi ride from the hotel.

    It was a last minute decision. Of course we did not make any reservation. Most of the hotels around Jalan Bukit Bintang were fully booked but we managed to have two premium corner rooms (1805 & 1809) on the 18th floor overlooking Kuala Lumpur city that cost us RM402.50 per room per night for two nights (checked-in on 11 Aug and checked-out on 13 Aug 06).

    We could see Petronas Twin Towers and KL tower. A very beautiful sight especially at night.

    I stayed here in 1999 when I had 20 students. We were really well looked after and the breakfasts (buffet) were spectacular and a real attraction.
    I stayed again breifly in 2001 and again in April 2004. The service was still good with excellent friendly staff, but the prices had gone up appreciatively. The rooms are looking a little tatty now and I had to ask to have my room changed as I was not happy with what I got when I checked in. The buffet breakfasts are back to their 1999 level. The range of food at the breakfast buffet is impressive, right down to the choice between milk and soy "milk" to pour on your cereal. The fruit juice choice is good too. This place has one of the best buffet breakfasts I've seen in a hotel of this standard.

    We stayed in a room with a view of the Kuala Lumpur Tower and Petronas Twin Tower. This hotel is a business class hotel located in the heart of Bukit Bintang shopping and business district.     • Stayed in this hotel a few times before. The reception staff are not that friendly, but the convenience more than makes up for it.

    Located right behind a shopping centre and near to Bintang Walk. Restaurants and cafes are only minutes away.

    Conveniently located within walking distances to the major shopping and eating areas of Kuala Lumpur.

    Room rates from approximately RM125 onwards. Hotel room is nicely furnished in modern theme. Bathroom is really nice with a full-height glass window and wooden blinds separating the occupier and the exterior.

    The rate is attractive and the hotel is usually fully-booked during the holiday seasons.

    • Stayed for 2 nights, and it was very clean, had good service, the food from the room service menu was cheap but nice, satellite TV, great views of the city and Petronas Towers, and the location is very central (Bukit Bintang) with malls across the road and food stalls surrounding it. Would recommend to all visitors.
