LCCT - Plaza Premium Lounge or Tune Hotel

by samgeeth

I've heard some negative feedback about the Lounge, and anyway they seem to charge per head

Does it make more sense to check into the nearby Tune Hotel as the per room charge makes more sense (to get some sleep for say 5 hours before getting the next flight.)?

Thanks for the earlier reply re Tune.

The lounge is not a place to sleep, but a place to relax, get a drink, snacks, check your mails etc. So if you want to sleep, get a hotel room. If you want to relax, consider the lounge.

agreed on above.

Tune Hotel is really close by. its like a 5-10 mins walk but with the heat, just grab the shuttle. The site states they have 3-hrs refreshers deal. just what you need?

As all have indicated, its a matter of what you want.

The Lounge at LCCT is not the grandest but it serves its purpose. The food is fair but all the amenities required for a hang out till your next flight is there. If sleep is what you are after, Tune Hotel is what you need.

By the way, if you are a holder of certain credit cards, entry to the Lounge is free. Check on the Lounge website.

Travel Tips for Kuala Lumpur

KL - The Ultimate Guide

by cafank

I loved this book put out by Tourism Malaysia. Had just about all I wanted to know as a first time vsiitor and I get a new one each time I visit.

As well as the usual eating, drinking, tourist info there is a bit of information about KL - suggestions of things to do and best of all a really compact, easy to read street map and rail map.

It may be available at hotels but I have always picked one up at either the airport, Sentral Station or the KL Tourism Centre I love the city - no one favourite place but maybe the transport - there's so much and it is so easy to catch a bus or train to wherever you want to go

Reach for the skies!

by sklc

My favourite is the Petronas Twin Towers! They glisten with pride in the hot afternoon and welcome travellers from near and far! What a beautiful civil achievement for Kuala Lumpur! I still remember when KL didn't have the Twin Towers. I still remember the feeling of stepping of the LRT and into the Towers for the first time! Pure excitement!

It Took Us 1/2 Hour...

by coceng

Mei Leng - dragontml , me & her friend Robert went to KLCC, had some drinks & time to go home.
Mei Ling paid the parking ticket then, we tried to look for her car, parked in the basement of KLCC; 4 levels of huge parking areas !
Took us for 1/2 hour & I was hoping for longer time because it's fun searching for something that we misparked ! He ! He !
The security boy found her car...

Im sure nobody will want to missed the Petronas Twin Tower, currently hold a record as tallest structure in the world! Dont missed out, friends! Hmm..I live here though! So i guess there is nothing for me to miss out in Malaysia. However, i still like Malaysia because of its own unique.
Come and experience the culture

Emergence of Che as an Icon

by cochinjew

I was happy to see the emergence of CHE as an icon, as is Bob Marley. one begins to see icons represented in various places, Bob's pictures and paintings of Bob and Che in various clothes item. In the central market I was happy to find a tin container, which one uses for cigarettes with a picture of che on it. I shall use it in a novel fashion to hold my visiting cards.
Teh Tahrek is an absolute must in Malaysia, the white creamy tea boiled and pulled, tastes delicious.. so one afternoon, i was sitting with a teh tahrek and admiring my new visiting card holder, under the relentless heat of KL
