Concorde Inn

Well I really do not have that much to say about the Concorde Inn, from the outside it looked fine, the lobby area is nice but from then on it was terrible.

Our room was tiny and very dated, it reminded me of a cheap old style motel in Australia. The room seemed very run down. We had problems with a very musty smell and lights etc not working in the room so asked to be moved. This took many phone calls and finally after about 2 hours they gave us another room which was very similar to the first room - except we had lights.

Have to say though that the buffet lunch was very good!

Would I stay here again - Most definately not!!! I don't care how close it is to the airport.

Not bad for an airport hotel

I stayed there only for a night. Of course, that's the only logic reason one should stay in airport hotel...There are two options to go there if you arrive in LCCT (for AirAsia flyers), by taxi (about 35 RM) or by combination of 1) LCCT-KLIA shuttle (1.5 RM) and 2) Free KLIA - hotel shuttle.. I chose the latter. It wasn't so bad if you have extra time, LCCT-KLIA took about 25 minutes (excluding the waiting time) and KLIA - hotel took about 15 minutes.

I got superior room for about 63 usd from my travel agent, I don't know how much the published rate is. My room was in wing 9, about 50 m from the lobby (ps: all rooms are in ground floor). Apart from ironing table and iron located in my wing's corridor, I didn't see other public facilities.

The room was clean and quite complete, with tea/coffee maker, fridge, cable tv, lighting with dimmers (so you could adjust the lighting intensities), hairdryer, and two bottles of water. You could access free wi-fi, although the connection were down most of the times.

Unique Quality: It is affordable for transit passengers. It has quite extensive choices for breakfast. Although I didn't order the room service, there are various (international and local) menu with not so expensive price..

Excellent hotel near airport

This hotel provides a free shuttle service from the international airport.

If you arrive at the Low cost terminal, there is a shuttle which takes you to the main terminal for 1.5mr.

The hotel rooms are set in blocks, with a passage way down the centre with covered walkways to your block.
The room was clean, had airconditioning, Television, the usual amenities. Breakfast was included in the price, which was a buffet, with plenty of choice.
I also had my dinners here, and they were very nice and reasonably priced.
Even though near the airport, I found this hotel to be quiet. It has a gym, tennis court, pool, badminton, volleyball, football field, also a spa and health centre.

Also, I wanted to visit Putrajaya and needed to catch the train, so they let me catch the free airport shuttle to and from the airport, even though I wasn't catching a flight. I really appreciated this.

Overall, I had a very pleasant stay here.

Unique Quality: Nice setting amongst gardens

some experience

When I arrived, receptionist told me that she cannot find my booking. Fortunately, I had booking number with me, and finally everything was OK.
Wi-fi in my number was absolutely unworkable. Administrator told that this is because of network overload and better place for working with wi-fi is restaurant.
I could not order taxi to airport during long time because there was nobody at the "transportation desk".

The rest was fine. So if you need for example to stay for one day and go early in the morning to the airport then that's may be a good choice.

Breakfast from 5:30 very convenient.

Some transportation prices:

Bus from airport to hotel: free
Taxi from KL Central to hotel: about 70 RM
Express train from KL Central to airport: 35 RM (takes only 28 min.!)
Bus from KL Central to LCCT (low-cost carrier terminal): 9 RM
Bus from LCCT to airport: 1.5 RM
Limo from hotel to LCCT: 35 RM

Unique Quality: Close to airport. A bit farther from LCCT.

Nearest Hotel to LCCT

Front desk is very helpful regarding early connection, early breakfast

Unique Quality: For those with an early connection at LCCT looking for the nearest hotel try Concorde Inn. Inform the front desk of your early flight and take their free shuttle to KLIA (5min) which start at 05:30. Hotel breakfast starts at 05:30 but you can take your early breakfast starting 05:00 if you inform/request from the front desk. From KLIA take the 05:50 or 06:00 bus to LCCT for MYR 1.50 (ask your shuttle driver for bus station direction) and in that early morning the trip will take about 15 min.
Or take a much costlier taxi from the hotel for a 15 min trip.

Airport Hotel

As I was on a stopover en route to Bali, I did not have much choice but to stay in this hotel. The hotel is 5 minutes away from the airport and they provide complimentary transfers. The hotel itself is very basic, much to my disappointment considering the amount they charged me. For that price, I was expecting something better. If you have the money, I suggest that you stay at the Pan Pacific instead but if you're a budget traveler like me, we're gonna be stuck at Concorde Inn whenever we fly through KL.

Unique Quality: Low-rise and resembles an American motel, Concorde Inn is good for stopovers.

More about Concorde Inn Kuala Lumpur International Airport

A bad way to end a vacation

by TripAdvisor Member MemberOntario

We recently spent one night at the Concorde Inn to catch an early flight from KLIA the next morning. Next time we will definitely pay the extra to stay at the Pan Pacific and really regretted that we didn't do so this time.
When we arrived, there was no one to help us with our bags and we eventually retrieved our own luggage cart and piled our belongings on. As we pushed the cart through to the front desk, we saw that there was not only a concierge, but he was just standing watching us. The reception at the front desk bordered on rude and, when we asked where the breakfast buffet would be in the morning, she told us to ask the person who would take us to our room. (It turned out all she had to say was "it's through that door").
We went to the restaurant immediately upon arriving where the greeting was hostile and, because we did not have a dinner buffet voucher, the hostess did not want to seat us or allow us to order off the menu (that other guests were using). It was very different than any reception we had received in the previous two weeks everywhere else in Malaysia.
The room -- which was supposed to be one of their upgraded deluxe models -- was extremely basic and the bathroom was filled with insects - both dead and alive. The bathroom only had two bath towels, not even a hand towel to wash our hands or face. Although the hotel caters to people who are spending an overnight to catch a flight, there wasn't even an alarm clock in the room. And the locking mechanism from our room to the outdoor hallway was simply a push button lock!
It was a miserable way to end two weeks in Malaysia. We cannot recommend anything about this hotel except that it is close to the airport.

Good for the overnight.

Not much to say about the hotel ...

- close to the airport by shuttle ( not the closest, but not expensive )
- good price value
- very, very , very bad food
- good service

Not the best

by TripAdvisor Member Ninjaman0714

Stayed 1 night, to catch early flight the next day. For the cost, and proximity to the airport, it probably is not a bad deal. However, there were several problems I faced.
Upon arrival, my reservation card was lost, so I had to redo one at the counter. In my room, the phone line was not working, and despite the steward filing the complaint, nothing was done until late that night (I'll get back to that). As a result, I could not get any internet. I had to use the internet in the lobby, which has only 2 computers.
This internet continually locked up, and became so frustrating to use that I just left it. Lots of mosquitoes were around in the lobby - they were probably in the room as well, but thank goodness for the a/c for keeping them away.
I then ordered room service. They forgot the drink, but it was included on the bill, and they did not walk with any change, so while eating, I was interupted 2 times - once to bring the correct bill and pay, and once to collect change.
But the worst for me was, while sleeping with all the lights out, I was awakened by loud banging on my front door, minutes to midnight. I tried to ignore, but it was very persistent. When I opened the door, I saw 2 workmen, walking with a new phone and some tools, telling me that they were there to fix the phone line!
The room was quite large and comfortable, with a large bathroom. However, the entire hotel looked and felt more like a beach house than a hotel.
If you are in a bind and need somewhere to stay close to the hotel that is affordable, then this is an option. Otherwise, I would stay clear.

by Murkymark

Hi,

Need help from expert please. I understand that there isn't any hotel near LCCT. Am flyng AirAsia 7am flight in the morning. Need advice on where to stay (to maximize snoozing time)? Also could somebody advise me the feasibility & cost of catching a cab early in the morning from one of these hotels to LCCT? Many thanks.

If I'm not mistaken, you can go to LCCT from KL Sentral or vice versa by bus which only cost you RM 9. It takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes from and to KL Sentral. SInce you have early flight better to take taxi.

Hi there, check this website:

There you should find all the information you need.

RE: RE: Hotel near LCCT

Sorry, forgot thoughts about accommodation:
Why don't you stay at the airport hotel near KLIA terminal? As there is a shuttle bus from KLIA to LCCT and it is only 10 minutes away the transfer should be easy.

Another choice for you is to take a taxi from LCCT and go to Sepang. There are 2 hotels there, the Empress Hotel and the De Palma Hotel. I am not sure how much the cost will be but when taking the cab, do insist on the driver to use the meter. After midnight until 7.00 am, all cabs charge double the meter rate...

KL Sentral to LCCT. First Skybus bus leaves 3:30 am and arrives LCCT 4:45 am. A bus every 1/2 hr interval.

Seems I also need advice on a 7am flight from LCCT. Before LCCT I used Concorde before and found it very convenient for KLIA. Surfing the web I have now three choices considering the distance & circutuos road for LCCT. Concorde Inn, Empress & Seri Malaysia Bagan Lalang - cannot find a map for De Palma.

Do anyone know the distance of of Seri Malaysia Bagan Lalang to LCCT? How many minutes travel time? Is taxi readilly available at 5:30 in the morning?
