Cyberview Lodge Resort & Spa is located in Cyberjaya, Kuala Lumpur. It is a about 20-25 minutes from Kuala Lumpur's Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) by taxi. The airport has a coupon system and it costs RM$53.20 (Nett), one way.
Upon arrival at the resort lobby, we were greeted by 2 bell captains whom gladly opened the glass door for us. Upon stepping into the lobby, the 1st impression the lobby gives us was the comfy & cosy feeling. The lobby lighting were dimmed down. Possibly due to effect of the bright afternoon sunlight at 1.50p.m. The ceiling was high which projected a very grand feeling.
Checking in was smooth and faster than expected. (5 minutes was all it takes for me) We were then driven in buggy to my Junior Suite Room 112.
Upon entering the room, a well kept living room was there, waiting to welcome us. It has a sofa, a LCD T.V & fully stocked mini-bar (fridge). 2 bottles of mineral water were provided complimentary free.
A turn led us to a little corridor whereby there was a desk, with a desktop computer and it comes with free internet access. It was then further divided into 2 more bedrooms.
The master-bedroom has a 4-poster bed and the cupboard comes stocked with ironing board, clothes hangers, iron, 2 bathrobes, an umbrella and 2 pairs of slippers. There was another LCD T.V located in the master-bedroom.
Master-bedroom is directly linked to the 2nd bedroom by the common bathroom/toilet which has 2 doors, accessible from both rooms.
The 2nd bedroom has a magnificent swimming pool view, which has a man-made waterfall, flowing 24/7.
The living room and the 2 bedrooms are equipped with individual air-conditioned units which is working perfectly fine.
After dumping the luggage, i had my dip in the swimming pool, which is a stone' throw from Room 112.
Only managed to try the breakfast at The Verandah Restaurant on both mornings. It has a huge spread of western pastries, cornflakes, fruit punches, local delights, coffee & Tea. A small counter serves 6 different chinese dim sum dishes, piping hot. Another one was what i presumed the japanese corner, which has only cod fish in teriyaki sauce, chanwanmushi (Steam egg), which is also quite delicious. There's an egg station which has eggs, cooked-on-demand, fried, scrambled or hard boiled to perfection. There's a chef who too prepares roti prata, fresh.
On the 1st night, we took the complimentary shuttle service to putrajaya night market (about 15 minutes drive) and that solves our dinner woes with satay, pizzas, local snacks, fried & BBQ chickens, local drinks. There were stores selling handicrafts, clothings, shoes e.t.c.
The next morning, we took the free shuttle service to a shopping complex called Alamanda Putrajaya shopping mall. Inside, you can find cold storage, Carefour shopping, Parkson Grand, Macdonalds, KFC, a food court e.t.c. There were some smaller outlets, similar to the one at Midvalley Mega Mall. Of course, Midvalley Mega mall is so much bigger in size compared to Alamanda. (about 4.5 times larger)
Didn't manage to try out the Sembunyi spa which is located directly opposite the huge carpark.
There's a pond behind the spa, which allows for fishing at RM$10/- an hour. Bicycle is avaliable for rental at RM$15/- an hour. Basketball is provided FOC. However, the court has only a ring on one side.
Overall, the landscape at Cyberview is magnificent. It give you a very homely feeling, totally at ease. As the resort only has 74 rooms / chalets, you will not have the over-crowding feeling. Throughout my stay, the resort was catered for wedding dinner on the 1st night and a working seminar on the next morning. However, You can hardly notice any noise pollution which spoils the tranquility and silence.
Unique Quality: Room 112 has a magnificient view of the swimming pool. There was also an intalian restaurant next to the swimming pool.
What i personally like is the toiletries provided. There were face towels, bath towels, pool towels & one which was handkerchief sized.
Full toiletries similar to any other hotels are provided. The unique is the 3 bottles of gels in the bathroom. A bottle of shower cream, a bottle of shampoo, and another bottle of hair conditioner. What is so unique is that you can tell from the smell that it is genuinely good stuff.
