"Duta Vista Executive Suites"

by mcfleong

We are planning to stay in KL for about 3 weeks and can get a reasonable deal on the Duta Vista Executive Suites 2 bedrooms. My research show that it is a time share property, not much information is available. Anyone stay there before or have heard of report about the place? Any comments would be most welcome!

why don't you try this website www.malaysia-bnb.com. They should offer you a much better deal that Duta Vista. Plus, they are near to the shopping area!

For your information, Duta Vista is really out of the tourist way. Unless you are happy to stay put in your room after coming back from a organised tour, it is fine. You can;t walk anywhere from there. It is located along a very busy highway. Plus point: there should not be too many jams abound

You can't venture out from there on foot. If this is your first time here, try to get somewhere downtown. That way you can venture out on foot if the taxis decide to take a break. There are also trains you could take. If you have a map, Duta Vista is located along Jalan Duta beside the Indian High Commission. - quite close to the parliment building.

Would it be better to get a connecting room in a hotel downtown ? I am sure the rates would not differ much. If want peace and quiet, this place is fine. But if tht is what you want, there are so many other quiet places. I can suggest you some hotels if you let me know what you would be doing here. If you are here for work and there is a driver to pick you up every morning, it is fine. If it is for leisure, think you will be a little bored. You will miss out sampling all the diversed kinds of food here!

Duta Vista is a nice place to stay but no shops , malls or other places to visit . You have to depend on a taxi..

Anyone tried any of these accommodations?

by listenandlearn

Hi there, We are trying to find a reasonable Bed & Breakfast in central part of K.L. and still in search. Has anyone ever stayed at the below VT accommodations, how was it, any helpful realiable feedbacks from your experience? However, we found the following and we are in search of a cheap, clean and centrally located place. Here are the accommodations we found through VT:
1). Sarang Galloway Vacation Home, it's in 6 Jln Galloway, KL 50150, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia.
2). Alex's Homestay Guesthouse, Kuala Lumpur
21 Jalan Tanjung 12, Taman Seputeh, KL 58000
3. Duta Vista
No.1 Persian Ledang, Off Jalan Duta, KL 50480
Wilayah Persekutuan
Is any of them recommendable?
Many thanks to all!

I only know of #3 Duta Vista. They're a service apartment. Some acquaintances from abroad have stayed there and they didn't seem to complain though. However, getting a taxi is quite a hassle. You need to call for one, which is much easier.

Maybe others can help with the other venues mentioned in your list.

Sorry for not being too helpful with this though. :)
