We arrived there at 3am and there unfortunately wasn't anyone to greet us or help us with our bags. I felt that the service was ok, but didn't like the swimming pool because the cafe was right at the edge of the pool. No privacy at all. THe room was quite small and the toilet doors are really irrritating when you want to try to close it.
I've stayed here once and it was a great 4-star hotel with all the luxurious and comfortable facilities to satisfy a fussy business man.
It is very close to the Star Hill Shopping Mall (next door), Lot 10 and Sungai Wang Shopping Complexes. Also 5 - 10 minutes to China town (Petaling Street) and other business centres and entertainment areas.
This hotel is superb through and through. From it's intimiate foyer to it's grand ballroom, every part of this hotel has being design to draw you in. I was fortunate enough to stay in one of it's spacious suite during my engagement and wedding.
This is a must if you can spot the extra cash. It'll be worth your while. Also, you have to visit it Executive Lounge on the utmost floor of the hotel. It's a perfect place to spend having your breakfast
Great bargains to be had at this hotel! We stayed here before we actually moved over to Malaysia. Lovely rooms, great view of the twin towers and a wonderful breakfast by the pool.
For the past 8 years used to stay at this hotel 6 times annually. During my next stay in Kuala Lumpur won't stay any more at the JW Marriott. Except for it's price, M$ 500 a night without breakfast, this is no longer a 5-star accomodation. Though have been staying here for so many times the people from reception still not friendly nor recognize a regular guest. The maintaince of the rooms or suites are poor. Toilet and fridge and airco were not working. Beside two lights inside the room were broken. This hotel seems to move it's breakfast location every year. And every year the location is getting more worse. Right now it's located around the swimmingpool. Which is actually too hot. The breakfast buffet is very simple and absolutely not 5 star. You have to order your omelet and toast from the waiter. Normally it takes about 25 - 40 minutes before you got your food. During my last stay they forgot twice to bring my food. They lounge is only by invitation and you're not allowed to bring your children.
This hotel doesnot have a coffeehouse English language among the hotel staff is poor Maintaince of hotel is poor Wheelchair or baby stroller unfriendly The lounge is only by invitation and doesnot allow children nor can you bring a guest Staff in the lounge is very unfriendly and doesnot make you feel home. Funny non-smoking policy; in most non-smoking rooms it's smells like there has been smoked inside. In front of the hotel there's a huge shopping mall under construction; noisy and dusty Next to the hotel is the Westin hotel; if you don't close your curtains you won't have any privacy in your hotel Very difficult to get a taxi from this hotel Concierge desk is very poor Internet connection is more off-line than online
We stayed at the Marriot for 3 nights & loved it. We had origanally planned to stay at the Shangri La but after reading comments on the VT that the Marriot had a better location we changed our palns & certainly didn't regret it. I will definitely stay there again.
