Superb hotel in ideal location

We stayed at the Pan Pacific for a week during June 2006. This hotel is fantastic! It is the type of hotel you look forward to going back to after a day's sightseeing in Kuala Lumpur. It's perfectly located in the middle of everything. The rooms are amazing and the interior of the hotel is stunning. Our room was massive and had a view of the Petronas Twin Towers!

Unique Quality: Ideal location in the centre of Kuala Lumpur
Massive rooms with great views
Very high standard throughout

The Pan Pacific Hotel International Airport

Beautiful huge hotel.

Great if you are only overnighting before another flight.
You can check in at the airport where you pick up your luggage.
Then you are taken by buggy (about 3 mins) thru the airport to the hotel. (You also catch the buggy back to airport when you leave).

If you want to use the mini bar make sure when they ask you at hotel check in at airport if you want to pay a deposit, say yes, as the fridge is locked and you will have to go downstairs to pay deposit and have someone come up to your room and unlock the fridge otherwise.

Room service etc is quite expensive here eg can of coke is just over $5 Australian Dollars and a club sandwich is about $16. But its worth it. Room service is like silver service here.

Swimming Pool is average, looks much nicer on their webpage!!

Buffet breakfast was ok, but nothing to go on about.

More about Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur International

Good enough for what it is

by TripAdvisor Member Starshine#1

Gorgeous Lobby, great fitness centre and pool and the rooms looked nice enough, but I wouldn't stay for longer than a stop-over.

The bed was incredibly hard - and we got bitten by bugs!! Breakfast was ok - but I'd be in agreement with the other reviewers - it was nothing special compared to some of the other places we'd stayed in - there was a range of food, but it wasn't all that tasty!

If you need a place for a stopover - it's worth staying to use the facilities, but for the bed and the food - I'd just fly straight!

Pan Pacific KL great if overnighting for a connecting flight

by TripAdvisor Member flyboytoo

I stayed at this hotel 28th April because my connecting flight did not leave KL until late the following day. It was perfect if you are just laying-over and provides everything you could possibly need. If holidaying in KL I would consider using a different hotel simply because of the location.

Great for transfers

by TripAdvisor Member Bluepetal23

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at this hotel. We used it to rest during our transfers. At first we were impressed by the shuttle carts that they have at aiport to bring you across to the hotel side. They really had to have this service otherwise it will be a 30 minutes walk to get from the main terminal to the hotel (and you wouldn't want to do that after a long flight and with heavy luggages). We booked the standard room for the 2 nights that we were going to there (the 5th & 10th August).

The standard room was spacious and average. There was a problem with the basin plug so the water would just fill up. We only found out about it once we have unpacked and settled in so we couldn't be bothered complaining cos most likely we would have to change rooms. Also, I didn't want to make a big fuss about it since we were only staying for 1 night. Instead I picked the plug out with some tool (which was kinda disgusting) which fixed the problem temporarily. The view was great from the room (I think was 603).

On the second night of our stay we were upgraded to a superior or deluxe room (not exactly sure what they call it but it was much better than a standard room). We didn't know that the receptionist upgraded us so we were jumping for joy when we got into the room.

I recommend that if you have time to go into the city and go up the Petronis Tower. We arrived at 6am so we took the opportunity to explore KL city. It was approx 30 mins ride on the KLIA Express train which is easily accessible at the hotel and airport.

Overall the place is a great stopover accommodation. The service was prompt and friendly. Well worth the AUD120.00 p/night.

Great stopover

by TripAdvisor Member ajcjmjnj

Travelled with wife and two children. Needed a stopover in KL due to flights not connecting same day. Pan Pacific was great, adjoins airport. Has book-in counter next to luggage carousel in airport. Then has courier service via golf buggies to take you to the hotel, very good and kids loved the ride. Although the hotel is close to the airport, you cannot hear the air traffic. Hotel is very clean and comfortable. Staff are very nice and had no problems giving us a late check-out at no extra cost. Highly recommended for a on night stopover, very convenient.

Stop over hotel

by TripAdvisor Member Sauvarin

The Pan Pacific is an excellent hotel for flight stop overs. We stayed twice. The deluxe room had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and made us feel that we were not 'one nighters'.

Very nice

by TripAdvisor Member Happytiler

I only stayed one night at the Pan Pacific KLIA but was upgraded to the executive floor which was a nice bonus. Check in was easy - as soon as you come through passport control, the check in desk is there so you have your room formalities completed even before you collect your baggage.
Staff were very friendly and the room was great for an overnight stay although I would have not minded staying here longer. Buffet dinner was good with the dishes actually hot!
Overall a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

Very convenient

by TripAdvisor Member phladun

We decided to book this hotel as we were flying out the next morning at 8:45am and didn't want the hassle of coming out to the airport early in the morning. We arrived into KL on Air Asia which is not at the main terminal which meant we had to take a taxi to the terminal. Then we had to walk to the hotel with our luggage as the taxis do not drop off at the hotel. They do have golf cart type shuttles going back and forth but we didn't meet up with one until we were almost at the hotel.

We also decided to go into the city to have supper in KL - a RM70 return trip on the train for each of us. This is not a convenient hotel if you want to take in the city.

The lobby is stunning and the rooms are very nice and clean.

A very nice stopover hotel.
