The stay was pleasant. We booked this hotel last minute... we were after a 5 star hotel in the area, but could not get a room. We wanted to be in this location, so we opted for 4 star instead.... and we were pleasantly surprised. It's nice. Not a luxury hotel, but the room is big and clean. All the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to accommodate your needs. So it's not modern, nor glamorous..... but just basic. Good value for money staying in a nice place, in an awesome location. I would recommend this hotel, as it's in a good location on Bukit Bintang (the main shopping street in KL). Especially good considering how cheap it is. Now I can't justify spending 3 times as much money for a 5 star hotel down the road.... this hotel certainly pleased me. Twice previously while in KL (during Grand Prix), we have stayed in the Federal Hotel (next door). The Federal Hotel is slightly more expensive. I would certainly recommend The Royal Bintang Hotel in place of the Federal. The Royal Bintang is cheaper, but also the rooms are much nicer, and bigger! So if trying to decide between the 2, go for this one!! Next time in KL will definitely consider staying here again, can't see any reason not too! Good location! Cheap $$! Nice!!
