Royale Bintang Hotel, Kuala Lumpur by mansionion This 4 star hotel was formerly known as Novotel Century Kuala Lumpur Hotel before re-branded to its current name. Whatever name it is called, you can be sure of its good services and strategic location in KL's Bukit Bintang area. It is within walking distance to major shopping complexes (Low Yat Plaza, Berjaya Times Square KL, Sungai Wang Plaza, BB PLaza, Lot 10, KL Plaza and Starhill) as well as dining and entertainment hub (Planet Hollywood, cafes/restaurants/hawker delicacies at Bintang Walk, Jalan Alor and Changkat Bukit Bintang). With two monorail stations in its vicinity (Imbi and Bukit Bintang stations), it is well connected to other places of interest in KL as well.
Conveniently located. Theme: HotelPrice: US$20-40 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averagePhone: +603-21439898Directions: At the end of Jalan Bukit Bintang, KL.Website: www.accorhotels-asia.com Other Contact: cklhres@pd.jaring.my

Novotel Century KL, now The Royale Bintang Hotel by kelnsha, 4 more photos I have stayed in this hotel countless times. One of the reasons is because it is located along Jalan Bukit Bintang (KL Orchard Road). It is within walking distance to Jalan Petaling Street (KL Chinatown). The service is reasonably good. You get to enjoy the facilities of a 4-star hotel. The rooms are spacious with cable TV and two complimentary bottles of drinking water and newspaper daily. I will recommend this hotel because it is quite stylish and very comfortable.
The car park is within the building, at the basement, unlike some nearby hotels like Federal and Capitol. They share car parks with Low Yat Plaza. The hotel has facilities such as swimming pools, jacuzzi, fitness centre, bar, spa and restaurant. Some of the rooms view are great. You can see Petronas Twin Towers, KL tower and KL city from your room. You can do online booking without having to give your credit card details but you must check-in before 4pm on the day of your arrival. The stay was pleasant. We booked this hotel last minute... we were after a 5 star hotel in the area, but could not get a room. We wanted to be in this location, so we opted for 4 star instead.... and we were pleasantly surprised. It's nice. Not a luxury hotel, but the room is big and clean. All the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to accommodate your needs. So it's not modern, nor glamorous..... but just basic. Good value for money staying in a nice place, in an awesome location. I would recommend this hotel, as it's in a good location on Bukit Bintang (the main shopping street in KL). Especially good considering how cheap it is. Now I can't justify spending 3 times as much money for a 5 star hotel down the road.... this hotel certainly pleased me. Twice previously while in KL (during Grand Prix), we have stayed in the Federal Hotel (next door). The Federal Hotel is slightly more expensive. I would certainly recommend The Royal Bintang Hotel in place of the Federal. The Royal Bintang is cheaper, but also the rooms are much nicer, and bigger! So if trying to decide between the 2, go for this one!! Next time in KL will definitely consider staying here again, can't see any reason not too! Good location! Cheap $$! Nice!! Theme: HotelPrice: US$40-80 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageDirections: Right at the end corner of Bukit Bintang, but not a problem, as walking distance to all the shops and nightlife!! PERFECT location!!!

Upon arrival, the reception staff is not very friendly and the service is very very slow. And of course not very helpful. Everything we asked they said 'not sure'. Worst still, some couldn't speak English. So, don't expect too much. The room is fine. My stay there is quite a pleasant one (as it is quite near to most of the shopping places) except for the breakfast part. As for the free breakfast buffet, I am very disappointed with their standard. On our first day, when we went to the coffee house to 'redeem' our free breakfast buffet, the waitress ushered us to another place where you walk through the 'dirty' exit corridor to a 'run-down' so-called ballroom. The seating layout there is Round Tables for 10 where you have to share the table with others. If you are in small group (i.e. 2) and happen to bump onto selfish people refusing to share with strangers for breakfast, Good Luck to you in finding seats. On the next day, we went to the same coffeehouse again for our breakfast and noticed some guests had their breakfast in the coffeehouse. So we decided to observe further. This is actually 'Double-standard' because we are all paying for our stay. We are so annoyed. So, on our last day there, we insist to have our breakfast at the Coffeehouse for our breakfast. According to the waitress, we have to wait for empty table first which we did. Queues started to be formed outside and the waitress claimed that the coffeehouse is full. Guess what? At least 4 tables were stacked with piles of dirty dishes which nobody bother to clear and for conveniences, just stack it there. Immediately, my point of view is the staff there would rather let the dirty dishes sits on the tables than to clear for their guests. As for the food, no big deal at all. Not much choices, average taste and the worst part is they are not very "on" in replenshing the food. Remember, the next time if you stay there. Insist to have your breakfast at the coffeehouse because you paid for it.
