It was a legend...
Pros -
- Place of the hotel is very strategic; very near to Putra World Trade Center, walking distance to lrt and ktm (train stations)
- There is a shopping mall (The Mall) under the hotel.
- Prices are much cheaper than Pan Pacific
Cons -
- There is a limo and VIP parking in front of the hotel, no waiting area for pick-up also impolite non smiling employee.
- Lobby is in the 9th floor
- The restaurant is in the lobby floor so always smell food.
- Rooms smell moisture; because using always aircond can not open windows (at least they can open windows only by their self for airing when the room is empty).
- Old building, old lifts etc.
Unique Quality: I stayed there so many times because of the strategic location, I couldn't understand whether I am the customer or they are the customer (!) No respect to customer.
Hotel price is cheap but unfortunately quality of hotel is cheaper than it's price...

Great accomodation, poor service
It is not usual for me staying in these posh 5 stars hotels, but this time, my friend could book a room there for just 21 euro, so I decided it was a good chance to have some confort for a small amount of money.
The room was confortable, clean exc. but I found the service definitly poor.
Minibar was empty(which is bad when you arrive at 1 am and you only want a beer before going to sleep).
I needed a taxi at early morning for the airport, asked them to book it, got the confirmation, and found no taxi the morning after, and I could add other things that did not go as they should but I would be boring.
Conclusion is that huge hotels like this one can have really special rooms but usually they just lose the contact with the person they have in front, they work just like in a factory, I do this you do that and if anything is out of the planned standards, the chain will breack and your wish will never be realised.
In small hotels you usually deal with the same person for check in, laudery service, changing money, lagguage store, room service and check out, so it is just more difficult to misunderstand and you usually get a much better service for less money!
Unique Quality: The jacuzzi pool.
they give you 2 vouchers for breakfast even if you are alone in a standard room, so, invite your friends to join!
The funny surprise was getting to know that in this hotel there is also a college for tourism management, I just realised I prefer people ignorant about management but with a good attitude with the tourist.
The location is excellent as you are a few steps from the city railway.

Special rate of 150 RM was good deal , but very expensive to eat at Hotel restaurant
Unique Quality: Pool on roof balcony with wonderful view.

A hotel near Putra WTC & train station
I stayed there for a conference. The hotel is located above The Mall. It is adjacent to a train station, which makes it convenient to go many places by train. It is also within a walking distance to Putra World Trade Centre.

The Legend Hotel
This hotel, in my opinion, is an ok 5 star hotel...nicely furnished public areas; and located beside the Mall shopping centre. Within walking distance from KTM Komuter (Putra station) and beside the STAR LRT station. Rooms are of acceptable size, quiet, quite good views of the city, but room furnishings and fittings (some of them anyway) fall short of some other higher-level 5 star hotels (which are priced higher of course!) . There's the usual bed and tv and all, 2 telephones, but no piped-in music, and bathroom (which came with a tub and shower) could have come with more guest amenities (toothbrush, comb). Corridors are long and well-carpeted and warmly furnished, together with the lift lobbies; typical 5 star luxury you expect, but rooms did not come with key-card security, rather, they still utilize the traditional key with a large metal keychain (not sure about now) . Suitable hotel for not-so fussy travellers, rooms come with an ok price tag for a 5 star hotel; breakfast mediocre, staff could come with better service though; as a 5 star hotel. Some staff great, some no-no. Although some staff were busy at certain times they remained cheerful.

Legend Hotel, KL
Hi,plan to stay in Legend Hotel in KL. Has anyone stay there before? How was it like? Really 5 star service?

Hi,
is a well known hotel in KL, is known as 5 star hotel. I didn't stay there before, not sure inside/ service how good.
Next to the hotel (walking distance-3min) hv a shopping mall name -The Mall. Opposite the hotel is the Putra World Trade Center (many exhibitions held here) and Pan Pacific Hotel. Nearby at Jalan Raja Laut hv a famous BAK KUT TEH (pork cook with herbs soup) you can ask the people for direction, is at conner lot, side way. Besides, there is Star LRT station nearby (station name:PWTC,3min walk) and KTM Komuter Station (station Name: Putra, 5min walk). http://www.whatmedicine.org/LRTMap.htm

The hotel is great but its just not the most intersting area. Thank god there is LRT right next to the hotel, which makes mobility a breeze.

Shopping and food wont be any problem.In fact the hotel is an integrated building with The Mall shopping Complex.The hotel is a good quality although i never stayed only attended a business convention and visited my friends' room during the business meeting.Although locationwise it is not so central,u will have an easy access to the city via Komuter (slow),taxi (fast) and LRT (cheaper alternative)
