KL's top Hotel

One of the Pricier hotels in KL. The location is good being very near to the various malls and eating places around the area (Bukit bintang). This was supposed to be one of the top hotels in KL so we stayed here. May not be that great on a value basis considering the plethora of choices , many excellent, in the KL area. At least the rooms, service and facilities are all top notch though the pool is a bit ordinary for a hotel with pretensions as top dog. We stayed there 3 night with 2 rooms , one of the rooms was facing KLCC where the Petronas Tower was and I must say it was a very impressive view. All in all very good rooms. Breakfast is standard for a 5 star hotel with extensive spread of everything you can want to eat for breakfast. Be carefull when booking as not all rooms have breakfast.

Unique Quality: One of the nice things about the hotel is that every evening they have a little presentation with drinks. Ussually very interesting stuff. The lobby decoration is also very trendy with dim lights that change color. Quite fashionable.

A Swanky place at the heart of the City

Located right beside the Starhill, it's a nice place to stay because of its location.

Unique Quality: Hmm... nice pool facilities... great service to and fro KLCC.

Brilliant

We stayed at the Westin in from 26 Dec05 until 01Jan06. I booked via the internet and needless to say when we arrived we were escorted to the executive floor and offered breakfast whilst check-in happened behind the scenes. We booked an executive room and it was extremely spacious and exactly as the photos displayed on the Westin website. These rooms include breakfast and cocktails in late afternoon. On New Years eve there was lots of bubbly as well. Also included is the same day free laundry which is brilliant and wonderful slippers to take home. The bathrooms with seperate showers were huge and luxurious. The hotel is very central and right next door to the new Louis Vuitton store. The staff were absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much effort for them. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back to this wonderful hotel and city

Unique Quality: Views of twin towers, wonderful staff

Luxury in KL

This hotel is just 2 years old, and was ranked 3rd last year in KL. We stayed on an Executive floor, with key card access only to these floors and the Executive lounge, which is open from 6:30am - 11:00pm daily. This lounge serves Breakfast and Pre-dinner drinks and nibbles at night for executive floor guests. We found the staff to be brilliant, nothing was too much trouble, as you would expect from a 5 star hotel.
The hotel is within walking distance of all the major shopping plaza's in KL and a short taxi ride to the twin towers and KL tower.

Unique Quality: The rooms are brilliant, their are 5 restaurants to choose from which are all themed along with various bars. The Asian restaurant Eest would have to be the best serving 5 different types of Asian cruisine.

Great Views from the Heights!

From the 22nd floor room, I got a great view of the KLCC Petronas Twin Towers - one of my favourite skyscrapers in this region - awesome! Service is fantastic as even before I managed to voice out what I wanted, the Westin KL staff (at least those who attended to me) had it arranged for me. In this new hotel, there is heavy traffic due to popularity of hotel with business travellers and well-heeled vacationers since it is in a fantastic location though madness is evident in the way the drivers drive along busy Jalan Bukit Bintang.

Unique Quality: The bed in the room is fantastic, nice to sleep on and the restaurants, especially Prego is very nice for its food and ambience. The colours used for their glassware and cutlery appealed very much to my partner and I. As mentioned earlier, there is a great view of Petronas Twin Towers no matter which floor you stay in as long as you manage to get a Twin Towers Room - there are 35 floors in total for this hotel. (It ihas more floors than neighbouring Ritz-Carlton KL..he he..even though I adore that hotel as well..) The other side of the hotel had rooms offering another city view with one of the more prominent landmarks being the Berjaya Times Square.

Nice Hotel

by valle about JW Marriot Hotel

Stayed 5 nights in this hotel. It was built in 1997 so it is still quite new. Our room had 2 double beds and was 40 square meters in size. Lots of restaurants and shopping right outside the hotel. I can recommend this hotel. If you are looking for a newer hotel, right beside this hotel is the Westin Kuala Lumpur Hotel. It started operation in Sept. 2003. Has a nice pool and a great gym.

Wonderful accomodation

by TripAdvisor Member jmalzone

We stayed at the Westin Kuala Lumpur for 4 days in July for a business trip. The hotel had wonderful restaurants and bars through out. It had a very nice work out facility which is good for the business traveller. I especially loved the Living Room for breakfast - many rooms with all types of variety.

The rooms were new and well equiped for business.
