The personnel cleans your room at least two times a day: in the morning and in the afternoon, but always when you're at the beach.
If you give them a small tip, they will prepare for you a nice surprise after the afternoon cleaning.
When we stayed there, they arranged the sheets on our bed in a very nice manner, decorating it even with flowers, and every night the arrangement was different!
Asdu is a very nice island. I think Asdu has remained as the Maldives were when the tourism started to spred there.
It is managed by a Maldivian family and it is possible to book a room directly with them. Just write them an e-mail stating the period you're interested in and they will reply you with an estimate. Obviously, the cost depends on the period you choose and on the number of nights you want to spend there. The price would be higher in the peak season and more nights lower the price!
The rooms are in blocks of two and are very basic: there's no air conditioning and no hot water, even if the water is at the temperature about 30°C as it is stored in a reservoir that stays in full sun all day long.
The furniture is also basic: a four-poster bed, a table with a chair, a closet and a separate in-door bathroom with the usual amenities: WC, shower and sink. But all is clean even if a little bit old.
The fact that there's no A/C is not a big deal, as a big celing fan is installed and there are no glass panes on the windows, but only shutters.
