Anywhere...: Everywhere is a campground!

You can camp pretty much anywhere in the Mongolian countryside - I believe that 90% of the land is state, rather than privately, owned.

In Öndörkhaan, we walked out of town a little way and camped near to the river. There were lots of locals down there during the day, bathing in the river, picnicing etc, but they left as the sun started to set and we had the place to ourselves and the demoiselle cranes!

In Dadal, for the first night we camped in the woods to the north of town, and we then headed out east, with the way pointed out for us by a local. Noone was bothered about our presence.
