Tourist camp: Erdene-Dzuu Harhorin

There are at least 4 or 5 tourist camps in and around Harhorin (Karakorum). Choose the one you like most or do what we did, take the one, where your driver or guide knows the owners.

It was a very small camp, only 5 gers for tourists, with 3 beds each. Mostly they are used from 2 people ... so even when the camp is fully booked, there are only a few people there.

And the owner makes lovely "Buus", one of the traditional Mongolian meals (steam cooked meat pastries).

Opinion of Price: less expensive than average

Bayangobi Ger Camp

There are a few tourist ger camps at Bayangobi and you should try to stay here at least for one night to admire the beautiful landscape, including the rolling green steppes, desert landscape as well as surrounding hills.
