While some tourists come especially to Mongolia to stay in tourist gers, it is more authentic to stay with a local family.

However, this cannot be planned beforehand. If you are lucky to get the chance, go for it for you will have a tremendously memorable experience.

Pros :
- Get a chance to see how a typical Mongolian family lives
- Experience how hospitable the Mongolians can be
- Sniff their snuff bottles
- Share what you have with them, food, pencils, candles, etc…
- Play with their children
- Endless ...

Cons :
