HOTEL MIRROR: EXPERIENCE AT THE NATURAL ZOO
The hotel is located at the district headquarter of the Bardiya district and is around 1 hours drive (35 Kms) from the Airport located at Nepalgunj (District headquarter of Banke) .The Bardiya National Park is only 55 kms from the Hotel and all the arrangements to stay at the National park are made by the Hotel.
Unique Quality: The Krishnasar (Blackbuck) breeding area is only 3 kms away from the hotel. The Krishnasar area is a open natural zoo where you can walk with the Krishnasar or deer’s. You can stay one day at Gulariya where you will be served local chicken with local wine made of rice.

Wildlife Paradise: My Paradise
A fantastic family run lodge by the river I would recommend to anyone visiting Bardia.
5 minutes walk from park headquarters. 10 minute walk from elephant stable.
Unique Quality: Shankar and Hira (the couple who own and run the lodge) are both trained jungle guides.
Great selection of quality food. Cold beer & locally produced rice wine on demand. Amazing dining hall for all occaisions.
If you go, you're sure to be back.
It was here in the Wildlife Paradise gardens that I came face to face with a Rhino. I fed the rhino banana from my hand, it was amazing. It was not actually as dangerous as it sounds, the Rhino, called Shivu, is a semi domesticated animal who retired from the zoo to live out her old age in Bardia. She often wandered through the lodge grounds at this time.
