This hotel has two redbrick buildings with traditional Nepali wooden windows. You just need to step out of the hotel to see the wonderful sunrice on the Himalaya.
Unique Quality: The rooms are quite different in each building. The newest one, a four-story building finished in 1994, holds 16 deluxe rooms. They are large, each with a queen bed and a single bed, a grandiose ballroom-style chandelier, and gold-trimmed cornicing. A step down from the bedroom is a sitting area, with plastic chairs facing the balcony overlooking the mountains. The hallways in this building are already in need of a paint job; but everything else is sparkling clean. The standard rooms are in the traditional Newari building built in 1983. Here the rooms are more basic, but the ambience is more authentic. Narrow, steep stairways lead to rooms with wooden cross-beamed ceilings, which are typical of the traditional style. Both buildings have rooms with mountain views, international dial telephones, and bathrooms with showers. E-mail: 28 rooms. Restaurant, bar, laundry service.
Best view on the mountains
They have two guest houses and 17 luxury rooms. A well-kept garden and royals as former guests, makes this hotel somewhat special...
Anything negative : the food and the walking distance between the rooms and the restaurant (outside passage)
Unique Quality: A great view (normaly, in good weather conditions)...
Directions: 30 km from Airport, 25 km from Bhaktapur
