Dhulikhel

Our entire Nepal trip was like a vacation in the big tour. Dhulikhel was the mountain part of this vacation. It is located at 1550 m above sea level and it is 30 km from Kathmandu. We had a bus ride here from Bhaktapur. It was nice to see red rice fields on our way.
Our Dhulikhel trip was only one night accommodation in Dhulikhel Mountain Resort. We had a folk dance night here before dinner. Young folks of the village had prepared some shows for us. Then we had a good dinner and went to bed, because we would have a small trek at dawn.
We woke up at 5.20 am and climbed up to the hill above us. We saw children carrying water from a fountain to their houses on our way. We barely caught the sunset. It was really fast. We saw the first rays then the whole sun in a few seconds. It was hard to wake up early and walk that much but it worth to do it. There was a small temple for Kali at the spot we watched sunrise. The men who did it arranged some stones in order to resemble the summits we saw at this point.
