Cheap Option
I didnt stay here but I checked it out on two seperate occasions.The Hotel Florid in situated in the heart of Thamel and it is a comfortable hotel at a reasonable cost.
The hotel offers clean, comfortable and well appointed rooms. The guys that work here are really friendly and they even give steep discounts to folks staying for a long time. The rooms were about $5 for a double.
Unique Quality: Room facilities include TV, balcony, toilet, bathroom with running hot/cold water and every room provides a dramatic view of the hills and valley.

A budget hotel
They have a small garden behind which is well kept. It's not on the main, busy, noisy road, so after you turn into the alley, you can get a quieter stay.
Unique Quality: There's an internet service inside, quiet convenient. The men in the reception are nice.
