Hotel Mount Rest - Laurebina Yak: What a view
This hotel is very comfortable with a beautiful dining room which has lots of space for huddling around the wood burning stove and singing and dancing. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. There is no shower as it is usually too cold, but the owners will supply you with a bucket of boiling water if you want.
Unique Quality: The view, especially in the morning, is incredible. The Himalayan panorama is beautiful with views all the way to the Annapurnas. The family are also incredible, again, I am a bit biased as my partners cousin owns this hotel. His youngest son Ras is a particular favourite with the guests and his wife is the sweetest thing ever. The cook is also something special, he can make anything in a short space of time and it is always delicious.

Himalayan Legend Hotel: Great family run place
This is a lovely family run hotel in Dhunche (It also happens to be the aunty and uncle of my soon to be fiance!) The best thing about this place is the hot showers which are pure bliss after a long day or a cold day in winter. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortble and the shared bathrooms have shower and western style toilet. The food isn't half bad either.
Unique Quality: There is a lovely family atmosphere to this place and the owners and their children will often have dinner with you and help you out with any handy hikking tips.

Sing Gomba: Great lodges at Chandanbari
Stayed here on several occasions, a great place, but no luxury. Bedrooms are spartan and with little or no privacy, the annex even more so. There are basically three lodges, in three categories. The one closest to the edge/with a view is the best.
Unique Quality: Nice dining area with a big, hot iron stove. Good food served.

Your favorite tent: Camping near Bhairabkund
Stayed two nights early December on the grassy meadows near Bhairabkund. Great campsite, easy access to water - and what a view!
Unique Quality: View toward the sunset with the Annapurnas in the far distance is just fantastic.
Well, regarding services, amenities etc., it's pretty unique... It's as you want it.

Laurebina Yak "hotel": Accommodation with a view
This is a little seasonal settlement for Gosainkunda hikers. First, in August, for the pilgrims to the holy lake, next, in September-November and again during spring time for trekkers. In late November-December until end of February they close down for the winter.
The accommodation seems fairly rudimentary and with little architectural charm and with limited facilities - judging from a visit to the toilet pit...
I only went on day trips here - either past or up from Chandan Bari - and didn't stay for the night. The place is probably good for those who come over Laurebina La from Helambu, and as a staging post for going the other direction and for general acclimatisation here at about 3800 meters.
Unique Quality: This place has such a fantastic 270 degree panorama view that it is worth coming here and take a cup of tea and some snacks just for the view.
