Nepal Best Stay

It was the most memorable part of our stay during the Nepal Trip. Sadly we only spent one and a half day at the place....

Unique Quality: Beautiful and magnificent view from the deck. Polite staff and great service. Even World Cup was shown in the room...

Food wasn't that outstanding though....

Go for its tranquility environment

We stayed here in October 2005. It was quite cold and moist up there. Very quiet and peaceful. We came in a group of 20. We booked through the local travel agent. We had all our meals in the hotel. You can do some hiking around the place. Ask the reception for trail map. There was a library and a souvenir shop in the hotel.

Unique Quality: It has spectacular mountaineous views. Stroll around the area and you will enjoy it. It is also the most luxurious hotel in this area.

Nagarkot's Best Accomodation

Well we did not stay here but we were there. This place used to be the retreat of Shahs and Ranas of Nepal. The Shah Dynasty was the ruler of Nepal till yesterday. Till the time election is there King Gyanendra isstill the King. Ranas ruled Nepal for 105 years. They were the Primeministers of Nepal under the Kings. The property and the view point is adjacent. It has all deluxe rooms with a view and all the facility a Five Star deluxe hotel can offer. But it comes with a price.

For tourists they also have dormitory service, which is very cheap for a place like this. The dormitory prices are Rs.370/- per person.

Escape from the city

Good quality hotel designed so that all the rooms have a view of the mountains (weather permitting).

Unique Quality: Viewing platform allows unrivalled views of the mountains at sunset. (You can see the mountains at sunrise from your own bedroom... how civilised!)
The helpful staff will arrange walks, treks, horseriding, etc.

Best Place to Watch the Sunrise over the Himalayas

Located in Nagarkot, the mountain resort an hour's drive east of Katmandu and the favorite retreat of the Nepalese maharajas of the past. I went to Nagarkot and stayed at Club Himalaya and I knew why maharajas used to like this place so much. Located on top of the highest mountain in Nagarkot, the Club Himalaya's terraced balconies command the sweeping and unobstructed, 360%, panorama of the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, all around and ahead of you and it is the best place in the world to watch sunrise over the Hamalayas, provided the morning is clear and the fog clears fast. Some of the most enchanting mountain trails start just outside the hotel gates.
