How the people of pokhara staying.are they are peace and cool or any violence is going on presently.for 10 days I am planning to have a visit.is it right place regarding safety and security.what an=bout hospital facility, accomidation,power supply etc.,

Pokhara is one of must Beautiful Place of Nepal and famous place for tourist.Small town beautiful lake many nice hotels and restaurent around lake side. I dong think now there is voilence everytihng is going good till today. Most of people hindu and Buddhist Looks like preety happy and smiling. To visit Pokhara donnt wory fulley safe. Around there some nice hospital as well (Manipal Hospital is one of the biggest in Nepal) some private nursing home and health care senter . Medicine you can buy wiht out any paper form Doctor. Yes – Pokhara is very Safe and a Great place to go and relax – Also there is Lots to do, Boating on Fewa Tal, Tandem Paragliding, Micro-Light Flights, Short treks including the Peace pagoda and Sunrise at Sarangkot, Visiting the Tibetan Refugee camp etc etc.

I was thrilled to spot this huge bird of prey as we were walking up to the World Peace Pagoda. Recognisable due to the straight-edged wings with deep spreading 'fingers' and paler stripes on the underside, and above all the golden brown head feathers in contrast with the darker brown body, this glorious creature is known as 'baaj' in Nepali.
Due to the dangerous approach path planes have to take, the current airport will be closed eventually, and a new one is slowly being constructed in Leknath municipality, some 5-6 km out of town along the Kathmandu road. As long as the insurgency goes on, this work will not be prioritised, but it is bound to happen some day. The sign for the new airport has already been put up...
If you have the ability to hike for a few hours or more this is an awesome place to go trekking!! If you have bad knees it might tough on you as this is rugged country! But you will be well rewarded for your efforts!! Dal Bhat!! (lentils and rice) Which I like but after about the 10th meal straight it gets a little old. Many of the treks take weeks to go on but there are many shorts ones too.
Unusual, but spectacular, Devi falls plunge into a cave and disappear into the earth. Locally known as Patale Chhango (Hell's Fall), is an awesome waterfall, about 2 km south-west of Pokhara airport on the highway to Tansen. Accoriding to the guide I had, the Falls are far more spectacular during the rainy season, when masses of water run down.
Almost every house has a small barn for goats, most of them located next to the house. Even when you´re trekking you will see hundreds of goats everywhere, some of them roaming freely like these cute baby goats we found along our way to Kaskikot.
