PTDC Hunza Motel: A nice place

The hotel is not for very luxurious people but it is pretty suitable and good enough to stay here for an average traveller. The PTDC Motel offers comfortable rooms with its excellent restaurant (serving both local and western cuisine) and the fairy tale view of Rakaposhi Peak on a moonlit night. The Motel also offers Rent-a-Jeep, Telephone, Dish Antenna and Laundry facilities.

From PTDC:
Ninety Kilometer and 2-½ hours traveling time from Gilgit, lies Ganesh, directly under Karimabad, the principal town of the Hunza valley. Spreading over the mountain, opposite the world famous Rakaposhi Peak in Nagar across Hunza, Karimabad is renowned for the Altit and Baltit Forts, built by the rulers of this former princely state.

The panoramic view of the KKH and the valley of Nagar across the river, PTDC Motel situated in its very center, is absolutely stunning. From the PTDC Motel one can take a day’s trip to Nagar valley overlooking the magnificent Hoper Glacier. The village of Passu adjacent to the Passu Glacier can also be visited in a day’s trip

Hunza Darbar Hotel: Hunza's Best Hotel

This is a beautiful hotel in the Hunza Valley. Hotel Darbar Hunza is owned and operated by the Mir and Rani of Hunza (Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan and Rani Atiqa Ghazanfar). This hotel was constructed in 1996 and consists of 40 well-facilitated rooms with each room possessing a splendid view of the entire Hunza Valley, especially of Mt Rakaposhi from its roof.

The rooms are spacious and good. The service is excellent too. Darbar Hunza has been conceptualised in its design as a true representative of the local culture and heritage of Hunza. The woodwork along with its design depicts the age-old craftsmanship which is unique to Hunza.
