Both are nice places, have a very nice staff. Executive was my favorite. Both are located on street 47 in F7, nice area. One block from Jinnah super, great place to do some shopping and eating.
This guest house serves generally only United Nations workers, passing to and fro from Afghanistan, but the price is right and the service is great for any backpacker.
The owners are very responsive and kind. They always pick up at the airport, which is great since getting a normal taxi can be daunting. Even the kitchen is pretty good. Try the chicken chorma.
They provide soap, tv, air conditioning, mini bar, too.
This guest house is located in posh sector of E-7 near Faisal Mosque. Shopping Centers and other places of interest are in convenient range.

Youth Hostel has been renovated recently. Rooms and toilets are on shared basis and clean no. Do not expect any kind of luxury as you would get a bed to sleep and thats it. Nothing could be better than staying at this hostel when you are on tight budget.
I went to Islamabad for just a night on 6th Jan 2004. It was late at night when i arrived there alongwith my family and a friend and when we asked the taxi driver to take us to the hotel where we stayed last night, he told us about this guest house and we decided to see it before going to our usual hotel.
The location of Ramada Inn is very central to everything and at a safe place. We got 2 double bed rooms here for 15 US $ each (800 Rs. without tax and 920 Rs. inclusive of 15% tax). We spent a night and were greatly satisfied by the service.
The best thing about Ramada Inn was its big luxurious rooms having TV, heating & cooling System, reasonably clean Bath and Toilet with toilet paper :-))) which is often required by foreigners and missing in most of the hotels. The room service was good and the breakfast which we had for 70 Rs. (without tax) was good. In my opinion, its a best choice for such a price in Islamabad. So, i strongly recommend to check Ramada Inn whenever u go to Islamabad next time !
Margalla Motel is one of Islamabad's most impressive hotels ideally located in very peaceful environment of forest on Kashmir highway near Sports Complex. It is hardly 1 KM away from main activity centre of Aabpara. Margalla Motel has almost all facilities of four star hotel.
Motel's building is grand and beautiful from inside as well as outside. Lobby is really huge and very impressive because of its interior decore. Reception staff would give you a smile and treat you very well. Tastefully decorated rooms are excellent with satellite TV channels, mini bar, international direct dial facilities and near n clean bathroom.
Motel its own exclusive huge parking space. You would find flower beds and lawn outside along with colorful fountains.
Most of embassies, business centers and tourist spotrs are at hardly 5-10 minute distance from the motel making it ideal for business as well as holiday traveler. So if you want comfortable and memorable stay in Islamabad then Margalla Motel is the right choice!!
The Best Western Regency Hotel is located on Islamabad Club Road. It is a four star hotel built in 1994. In 1997 this hotel was remodeled. Standard room rates starts from Rs. 4,500 approximately ($ 78).
Wether you are on business vacation or a short trip, this hotel is one of the best options available. The prices are reasonable as compared to other hotels of Islamabad.
Best Western offers a range of amenities designed to meet business traveler's specialized needs. The hotel has convention and banquet halls with all the latest audiovisual equipment.
Marriott Hotel is one of the best hotels of Islamabad. I personally like Marriott more. It offers you superb rooms, delicious food and excellent service. Their Chinese food is no doubt best in twin cities.
The hotel is centrally located in the lush green administrative and business area of Islamabad. The Marriott offers 290 finest luxury rooms with 5 floors, superb service and traditional Pakistani hospitality.
You can also go to their pool side to fresh yourself. Then we have "The Bassment", Isloo's popular disco which was previously known as "Muddys".
Room rates are also very reasonable as compared with Serena hotel . Recently The Marriott offered special summer package. They offered attractive room rates of just Rs. 5,500 ($95 appox) along with lots of discounts and additional complimentary services.
The hotel offers deluxe rooms. executive floor, business center, health club, barber shop, beauty parlor, handicapped facilities, laundry services, outdoor swimming pool and disco.
Meeting and banquet facilities include a private banquet hall and terrace garden with marquee for conferences, weddings and other functions.
The Ambassador hotel is in the Abpaara District of Islamabad and a little bit away from the main city-centre areas (Blue Area, Jinnah Market etc....).
The accommodation is about 3 star quality with a good restaurant and comfortable rooms. The best feature would have to be the stunning courtyard in the centre of the accommodation wings, well kept lawn, stunning gardens and outdoor chairs to sit in and enjoy the afternoon shade while writing some postcards home to the family (well, that's what I did anyway!)
We didn't really shop around for accommodation much, so I can't really give much comparison - but Ambassador suited our needs pretty well, and seemed popular with mid-budget travellers.
The Best Hotel of Islamabad is Serina.... Its 4 Star and it has got all you need but the price is too high as well.

There is a hill station near Islamabad and its known as 'Bhurbun'. The picture on the left is of Pearl Continental Hotel, Bhurbun. Its one of the most beautiful places in Pakistan and this hotel is considered to be one of the best ones. But its worth staying for a night in it. Its just 2 hours drive from Islamabad up in the north. The taxi can easily take you from Islamabad airport to Bhurbun in around 1000 - 1500 / - Pak. Rupees.
There are moderately priced Hotels, Motels and Resthouse. Located at a few places at Saidu Sharif, Mingora and few other places. It's depending on your activities and choice. I never sleep in the Hotel, for me at that time USD 20 is a big money...I can travell another 300 Kilometers with that amount of money. Normally in the Muslim countrys, I prefer to sleep in the mosque with my sleeping bag....the trouble is I have to wake up early, otherwise ,eaither they prey on me as a dead man or they throw me out from the mosque.
