The hotel we stay was good enough, so tranquil overlooking the magnificent view of glacier mountain and the river, inhabited by only farmers. The view was nice but some villagers are somehow weird probably they couldn't understand the outside world. Anyway, this hotel and the owner and this 2 youngsters are nice. The cost of a room with 3 beds cost less than 250RS per night.

Pine Park Naran is one of the best hotels in the area. Its located on the way to Saif ul Malok lake a bit away from main bazaar around 5 minutes drive. Hotel has neat well maintained rooms with decent facilities to make your stay comfortable.

This hotel is a bit expensive as room would cost you Rs. 2850 per night with no discount offered. Iif you want to stay at some really nice and peaceful hotel then this cost is not too much.

This hotel has lovely interior, nice rooms, beautiful and well maintained lawns and all the necessary facilities that you may need. Horse riding and rent-a-jeep facility is also available.

  • Naran Hotels and Accommodations
    by fashionapple
Shogran is one of the most beautiful places i have ever visited in the world. This heaven on earth is around two and half hours drive from Naran. From Kiwai you need to take steep road for Shogran and it would take you 45-60 minutes to get there.

Keep in mind that Shogran is very expensive and remote place with only few quality hotels. Most of the hotels are not of good standard and even then demand Rs, 1000-1500 per night as they know there are not much choices available for tourists. Most of the elites and VIPS usually stay at Pine Park Shogran.

The best, most beautiful and the most expensive hotel to stay in Shogran is Pine Park. You would fell in love with lush green lawns of the hotel with lovely flowers and surroundings.

Its very unfortunate that many trees were cut down for construction of this hotel. Service standard of hotel is not so impressive but still something is better then nothing and that too in a such remote area. Rooms are in much better shape then rest of the hotels in area.

Just to have a look at their room i was kept sitting for 2 1/2 hours, room was okay but toilets needed maintenance and hot water was not available all the times. Some times not all items listed on their menu are available especially when some VIPS are staying and staff pay more attention towards their meals and refuse to get you meal of your choice. Their security guard was an idiot with no manners at all.

Their expensive rooms are very well maintained but being student i can not afford them so i stayed at their cheapest rooms at Magri block. These rooms had no telephone or TV facility but were atleast carpeted with new furniture and curtains. I paid Rs 2500 per night. Keep in mind this hotel chain has fixed rates and no discounts are offered.

The facilities offered at hotel includes a restaurant offering reasonable meals , comfortable lobby with satelite television channels, in room direct dialing (not in all rooms) , snacks bar, in-door games rooms, horse riding, gift shop, jeep on hire, nice rooms and huts.

Room at Magri block cost Rs. 2500, Main block Rs. 2875, Swiss Cottages Rs. 5000 and VIP Cottage Rs. 15000 per night.

  • Swiss Cottage - Naran
    Swiss Cottage
    by fashionapple
There are various types of rooms, cottages and suites in Pine Park Hotel ,Shogran. They have been categorized in the form of different blocks. One of them is Swiss Cottage located in opposite side of Main Block. It has two rooms and each room cost Rs.5, 000 ($ 86.2 appox).

There is huge lush green lawn in opposite side of Swiss cottage. The rooms are furnished and carpeted with telephone and satellite television facilities. But getting a room in Swiss Cottage is not easy because great demand. But you can always try your luck ;-)

  • PTDC Motel Naran - Naran
    PTDC Motel Naran
    by fashionapple
Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation has a large network of motels and hotels all over Pakistan. PTDC Motel Naran is on bank of River Kunhar, well known for its delicious trout fish. The motel is spread over 20-acre area having standard rooms, huts, economy rooms as well as 3 VIP cottages overlooking the Motel, on the top of adjacent mountain.

The motel is very expensive and i would not recommend you to stay there. All prices are on room-only basis and economy rooms costing Rs. 1,400 plus tax do not even have toilets.Only two beds are provided in room, there is no carpeting or even tube light in rooms. Walls are without paint and at night there is not adequate light arrangements if you want to move outside your room.

VIP rooms and huts are superb and very well maintained but very expensive at the same time. They would cost you around Rs.5,000 to Rs.8,000 per night. ( 1 USD = Rs 60 )

I would suggest you to visit Naran's main bazaar that is on walking distance of 5 minutes and there you can find a hotel of every type ranging from Rs.300 to Rs.2000

Some of the facilities provided are a restaurant serving three times meals, TV lounge, children park, fishing, horse riding, rent-a-jeep and laundry facilities.

    Lovely view of VIP Cottage
    by fashionapple
VIP Cottages are luxury accomdation by Pine Park for the elites visiting Shogran. Per night VIP cottage costs 15, 000 ($ 258.6 appox).

This cottage is built just opposite to 'Magri Block". It has its own private lush green lawn and chairs. There is extensive wooden work done inside this cottage. All the necessary facilities have also been provided. But it's not the case that only VIPs can stay here. If you have enough money then you can also stay here :-)

  • Magri Block - Naran
    Magri Block
    by fashionapple
Magri block is locared on the track that goes to Siri Payee. Rooms per night cost Rs 2500 with no discount. TV and telephone facilities are not provided in these rooms. The exterior and interior is impressive with exclusive lush green lawns and out door sitting arrangements in thick forest environment where weather mostly remains foggy. A small tuk-shop is also available.

The only problem is that rooms are not well maintained and toilets are not in very good shape. Tube lights and table lamps may not work in some rooms but ask the staff and they would change them for you.

Sit in the lovely lawn with impressive sitting arrangements, see neat n clean flower beds, enjoy great views and the peaceful environment.

For guests staying Magri block shuttle jeep service is available for main block. But their inefficient driver may took too much to pick you up. So its better to hike yourself and cross the distance by foot.
